Order: apprehend Hugh Warren Jr
Comments: Whereas Lovisey Johnson, of Greenville County, single woman, said on February 9th last at the house of Hugh Warren Sr., she was delivered of a female bastard child and that Hugh Jr did get her of said child.
Recognizance, and, issued by Robert Nelson, Justice of the Peace to Hugh Warren Sr.,
Signed Hugh Warren Jr, 100 L sterling, securities James Warren, 50L sterling, Lenard Clarboran 50 L sterling, Condition, Hugh Warren shall appear in County Court 3rd Monday in this instant for getting a bastard child on the body of Lowis Johnson.

Have a copy of both William and Hugh Jr's Revolutionary War Pension Records. William, in Particular, has a lot of Information, as far as Family information. Hugh Jr's Date of Birth, and State of Birth are given. It notes that Hugh Jr. moved at an early age to South Carolina. He fought in the battle of cowpens. His father and him served at the same time for a mounted unit in the War.
Hugh Sr. worked land in Buck Creek, near Pacelot in the early 1770's.
Hugh Jr's war record stated he lived 12 miles from Woffords Iron Works about a mile from the Pacelot River.

There is a H. Warren listed in 1820 and 1824 in Richmond County, Georgia federal and state census. Need to check on this though.

Hugh Warren listed with youngest son, Nathan Warren, on 1840 Green County, Kentucky federal census, his age between 70-80 years of age.
Hugh Warren's will written and probated in 1845, Green County, Kentucky.
Have excerpt of Will, in which he names son Nathan and daughter Polly Warren specifically. Other children are spoken of, but no names are given. Hugh had at least 3 children counting my ancestor
Avery, and in looking at the census data, I believe a William Warren, born in 1800 to be of Hugh Jr's lineage, although not proven yet.

DECLARATION OF HUGH WARREN. REVOLUTIONARY WAR SOLDIER STATE OF KENTUCKY,GREEN COUNTY.
On this 16th day of October, 1834 before me, William B. Allen, a Justiceof the Peace in and for Green County, personally appeared Hugh Warren, aresident of said county aged 70 years who being first duly swornaccording to law doth on his oath state as follows. That he has beenintimately acquainted with William Warren of Green County, Kentucky (whois about to make application for a pension) from his childhood up to thepresent time. That he is a Brother to said William Warren, and that heknows that said William was a soldier of the revolution, that he servedwith said William a number of short tours under the command of CaptainDeanis Tramell, that they were under the orders of said to the best ofhis recollection not less than 12 months though they were not in actualservice all the time but served at short tours whenever called on. Thathe also served with said William 3 other torts, one of 4 weeks, one of 3,and one of 8 weeks or there abouts to the best of this deponentsrecollection. That 2 of these tours of service were under the command ofCaptain Jeremiah Dickson, and one of them under the command of CaptainCotter, and that John Roebuck was the Colonel, and said Deponent furtherstates that he fully believes that the said William served 3 other toursof duty previous to his serving with him under the command of CaptainDoty and one of them as a substitute for their Father Hugh Warren; thathe knows that said William was absent from his place of residence, andthat he then and ever since understood that he was in service, and he hasno doubt but that said William did serve the 3 tours last named; duringthe other tours herein above named this deponent served with said Williamas aforesaid, that he does not recollect the dates of the tours o serviceherein named with any degree of certainty; but he knows they were allduring the revolutionary war. Sworn & subscribed the day and year abovewritten before me.
