He was married three times. First to Eva Rush, who, according to family records, died in childbirth in Green County, KY on 13 Dec 1918. They had no children. Death cert# 39097 (listed as Eva Scott, parents: James P. Rush and Katherine V. Jones). Cause of death: 'Chronic Valvular Heart Disease. since childhood. Contributory: Advanced Pregnancy'.

Anthony's second wife was Naomi 'Oma' McCollum (30 Dec 1889 - 29 Jun 1921). They married on 05 Jun 1919. They had one son - Ralph (19 Mar 1920 - 11 Dec 1979). Naomi's Death cert# 12536 (listed as Mrs. Naomi Scott). Cause of death: 'Tubercular Laryngitis'.

Anthony's third wife was Elizabeth 'Lizzie' McLarnon (25 Jan 1892 - 28 Mar 1952).         Will of James Scott: my wife, Elenor, gets my real and personal estate during her lifetime or widowhood. My daughter, Lydia Scott, gets a bed and furniture, saddle, cow and calf. If my wife should marry she gets 1/3 of Estate. My son, Price Scott, gets 1/2 of the Plantation where I now live, containing 200 hundred acres. The other half goes to my daughter, Ann Combs. My negro, Moses, goes to my son, Marshall Scott and to my daughter, Lidia Scott. I desire Moses, to stay in family but, if one does not want to purchase him he can be sold and money divided equally. My grandaughter Martha Ann Scott gets one cow and calf and furniture, after my wife's death, Estate to be divided;
