        Hi there,
        I have been researching a friends family (Purvis and Roberts) and I have some descrepancies to what you have. Who knows which is correct. I have John Roberts (born 1740) as having a girl Rhodea. You have him as having two boys. This is one of the many things I find different. Also I have found another person (tadcamp@inreach.com) as to having a third version, Purvis realing to Roberts. Would you like to chat? Thanks!

        In 1769, the youngest Layden "orphan", Mary, died. On 17 May 1769, John Roberts filed a petition with the
        Perquimans County court notifying them of Mary's death and asking that he be awarded a portion of her father's
        estate, presumably for expenses he had incurred during her short life.
