Thomas Stone, uncle of Governor of Mary land, was living in 1647 in Cateton Street, London, and the marriage license in 1637 of Richard Porter and Margaret Stone describes her as the daughter of Thomas Stone, haberdasher of St. Lawrence, Old Jury, which Parish Cateton Street was situated. Mr. Stone shows that Thomas Stone of London, like his nephew, William of Maryland, was a sympathizer with the Puritans.
