GUNCELINE DE BADLESMERE, a great rebel to Henry III, for which he was excommunicated but afterwards, returning to his obedience, was constituted Justice of Chester and so continued to 9 Edward I (1281); served in the wars of Gasgoigne and Wales; died 29 Edward I (1301), being then seized of the manor of Badlesmere; married Joan, daughter of Ralph Fitz Bernard, Lord of Kingsdowne, Kent, and heiress of Thomas, Lord Fitz Bernard.
