Thomas J. Rowell
Thomas J. Rowell, 90, of Nampa, passed away at his home on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. A Funeral Service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel. Burial will be on Monday, Nov. 3, at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Thomas J. Rowell was born in Ida Bell, Okla., on May 6, 1918. He was reared and educated in Oklahoma where he worked in the oil fields. In 1941 he married Nora V. Pace and together they raised 10 children. Nora preceded him in death on Oct. 12, 2000.
Thomas is survived by his children, Bobby Jackson Rowell, Calvin Gerald Rowell and his wife Jana, Bonnie Kay and her husband, Sonny Gregory, Julia Ann Poage, Tommie Dale Rowell, Gladys LaVerne Rowell, Sherrie LeAnne Trefren, and Kevin Dean Rowell and his wife, LaVada; a son-in-law, David Tapp, two daughters-in-law, Virginia Rowell and Debbie Rowell; one sister, Gladys Bacon, Nampa; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Alice Tapp and a son, Roger LeRoy Rowell.
Our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather will be out of our sight but will never be forgotten.
