1860 Census: Pleasant Hill, Lane Co, OR page 270, family #442. They were living next to the Despains.
1870 Census: Twp 1, Santa Barbara Co, CA page 434, family #364. He was a photographer, age 51, born KY
1880 Census: Weston, Umatilla Co, OR. He was a photographer, age 62, born KY. He was married to his second wife, Susan age 47 born PA. There was a Sarah Lovell (?) age 27, born MO and family living with them. Sarah's parent were born KY. This would seem to be one of William & Rachel's daughters, but she doesn't fit into the known family.

Donation Land Claims #1015 - William R. Jones of Lane Co, OR; born 1811 in Green Co, KY; arrived OR, 29 Aug 1851: settled claim 20 Dec 1851 and/or 15 Aug 1852. Married Rachel on 18 Sep 1835 in Barren Co, KY.
