Mrs. Sis McGowan of Bethany, MO.; Mrs. hannah Plank of Milborne, MO; Mrs. Ellen Wilson of Des Moines, IA and Eli, Bedford, Dock, and Scott Graves, all of this place and county.
The life lived by mr. Graves is the best tribute to his memory, he was a good neighbor and to help and make life easier and better for those whith whom he came in contact, and the seventy-seven years spent here by him were such, that his passing away is a community, as well as a family loss.
L. W. Terry, a life of Mr. Graves, came down from Wauneta to conduct the funeral services, which at the requrest of the friends were short and simple. One verse of Nearer My God to Thee wa sung, and after a brief prayer and a few fitting remarks, the remains were taken in charge by undertaker Hunt, and carefully laid to rest in the beautiful Palisade Cemetery by the side of the daughter that preceeded him.
