Local Man's Mother Dies at Tollesboro

Mrs. E.M. Highfield, widow of Abner Highfield, died Wednesday morning at the age of 84 years and 11 months, at the home of her son, W.H. Rose, of Tollesboro.

The deceased, who was loved and respected by all who knew her, was one of the oldest members of the Tollesboro Christian Church, "Aunt Liz" as she was affectionately known, will be sadly missed as she was ever ready to lend a helping hand to those in need and always administering to the sick within her reach.

Mrs. Highfield leaves two sons and two daughters, W.H. Rose of Tollesboro, Oscar Nash, of this city, Mrs. Nannie B. Highfield, of Ogden, Utah and Mrs. Ida B. Call, of Brigham City, Utah; also several grandchildren survive.

Definite arrangements for the funeral have not been completed however burial will be made at Olivet, near Rectorville.
