Subject: TG-CD audio problem


Hey listers...

I recently bought a spare TG-CD unit off of eBay for $1.99!!

It works fine except for one thing.  It does not play audio tracks
correctly.  I can play games OK, but there is no music.  The music
track comes out as quiet static.

I tried hooking the CD unit itself up to the AC adapter alone and
listening to an audio CD through the headphone jack with the same
result.

What could cause a problem like this and how would I go about fixing it?  

IT's not a huge deal because I already have a working TG-CD system,
but for the $1.99 that I spent, it would be *awesome* to have a fully
functional backup unit available.

It this audio thing a common problem among these units?  What makes 
this happen?
