Yeah! My TurboCD came in the mail yesterday. The guy I traded with
included a TG16 system and the carrying case. Pretty sweet. Now I
just have to wait a bit for some CD games:)

Did anyone get to see this? Was our beloved Turbo mentioned? If anyone saw
it and thinks it was worth watching, is there a way to get it to other list
members?

Landis,

I saw it and say emphatically that it wasn't worth the hour of my life I
spent on it. No mention of the Turbo was made, and exorbitant amounts of
time were spent on people and games that I don't think are that significant
in the scheme of things.

Two milestone games - Street Fighter 2 and Doom - weren't even mentioned.
Granted, one hour isn't an adequate amount of time to talk about 30+ years
of history, but I still feel as though the show could've been much, much
better.

Hey all,

I just wanted to let everyone who responded to my "Turbo Newbie Needs
Advice" message that I really, really appreciate all the great suggestions.
I now know which games to track down.

There are also a number of items I'm looking for, so I figured I'd see if
any of you have them and will part with them. I need...

1. Turbo Express AC Adapter
2. Turbo Duo controller extension cord
3. Extra Hu-Card slips

Also, if anybody has Neutopia, Neutopia 2, or Demon Crush and is willing to
sell let me know. Thanks!

Sincerely,

-Ian Johnston

T-List,

I saw it and, well, it wasn't worth watching, let alone taping. The
focus was on the current generation of games with some obsequious
mentions of the past machines. It went from Space War to the 2600 and
then (pretty much) jumped to the Dreamcast and the PS2. Additionally,
it touted Trip Hawkins as a "Video Game Pioneer." If he is a pioneer,
I'm a video game mogul. Too put it politely, I was less than impressed.

Needless to say, the Turbo was not mentioned at all. Indeed, that
generation of video games was referred to as ". . . then Nintendo came
out with portable games which allowed people to play games on the road
on things called 'Game Boys.'"

As always, this is only my opinion.
