There's not much information content in a "me, too" comment on a book
review, but the mention of Hogan's THE CODE OF THE LIFEMAKER prompts me
to abandon restraint. I liked the book overall more than Mark Leeper
did, but I want to reiterate that the Prologue of this book is worth
the cover price all by itself. Fascinating. My copy has already been
read by three friends.

While I'm here, I'll add "MeToo"s to two of Paul Chisholm's reviews.
The first is for Alexander's excellent THE BOOK OF THREE volumes. When
I mentioned at home that I planned to read them before seeing THE BLACK
CAULDRON movie this summer, my teenage daughter pulled them from her
bookshelves. I expected a light "juvenile" story, but they are much
more.

I, too, found the love story in "Press Enter_" to be moving. When the
Nebula nominations were announced, I reread it. On both readings, I
was *very* disappointed to have a great piece of science fiction drift
off into fantasy at the end. It was *so* good for a while!

Finally, thanks to Mark, Paul, and others of you whose thoughtful reviews
make this forum a fertile source of ideas and new directions for my reading
pleasure.

What have *you* read lately?
