  • Star Wars Celebration V: Ray Park (Darth Maul)

This is a panel with Ray Park at Star Wars Celebration V which occurred in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center in 2010. It was a great time but you’ll probably have to take my word for it vs. what you can get out of the video.

Apparently, my ancient (even then) Digital 8 camcorder was not doing well at that point. I’m not certain whether it is a bad tape, bad recording, or playback issue on the camera. However, I’m pretty sure it is just specific tapes I have problems with though. 90% of the Digital 8 tapes I converted worked fine but there are just a few that didn’t. There doesn’t seem to be any particular commonality that points to why though. At some point I’ll try to pick up another old Digital 8 camera to see if it makes a difference.

Anyway, the point is that this video is very glitchy. Glitch videos/images/gifs seem to be all the rage these days so here’s a longish one I guess. Glitch analog is cooler than glitch digital though…

Not sure what’s up but of my last three video upload attempts to 3Speak, only one has worked and this is not one of them hence why there is no embedded video (well, that and I don’t use utube).

  • Star Wars Celebration V: Carrie Fisher

Introduction to a replay of the “Main Event” at Star Wars Celebration V. The “Main Event” featured an interview of George Lucas by John Stewart. I wasn’t willing to wait in line all night for tickets so I made do with a video replay the next day. However, Carrie Fisher did show up as a surprise guest for a few minutes so that was probably the highlight.

This video was recorded by me at Star Wars Celebration V which took place inside the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida (the same location MegaCon takes place every year). Unfortunately, I was using my ancient Sony Digital 8 camcorder (10 years old at the time) so the video gets a little glitchy at the end.
