All of the studies that I have come across so far, are done on the mixture of the traffic from all sources. Many people have also studied the traffic by separately analyzing the data for various protocols. What, however, I have not seen so far is the study of the characteristics of the TRAFFIC OFFERED BY INDIVIDUAL SOURCES. By an individual source, I mean a user, an application, a program etc. I would highly appreciate any pointers, references in this direction. -Jaffar (jaffar@dsl.cis.upenn.edu)
