LAN software is Fusion(tm)'s XNS product (NOTE: XNS, not TCP/IP). We 'rlogin' via the LAN from '286 and '386 AT clones also running Fusion; terminals are standard PC's and TERM variable is set on rlogin as 'ansi'. Emacs loads just fine, but won't respond to any keystrokes. You can't do anything, and can't get out except by killing the 'rlogin' process. This leaves Emacs running on the VAX. If, on the other hand, I _dial_ into the VAX with 'cu' from the PC (TERM=ansi) it works perfectly. I did note some BSD networking-specific code in some of the header files and presume that Emacs thinks I'm running BSD networking. Does anyone have any ideas? Is Network Research listening? Thanks. -- UUCP: ...!{rutgers|ames|uunet}!mimsy!aplcen!wb3ffv!fallst!tkevans INTERNET: tkevans%fallst@wb3ffv.ampr.org OTHER: ...!attmail!fallst!tkevans Tim Evans 2201 Brookhaven Court, Fallston, MD 21047 (301) 965-3286
