Here's a dumb question: is there a version of switch-to-buffer
that will only go to an existing buffer?  I think what I want is a
command like switch-to-buffer but which forces strict command
completion in the minibuffer. (NB: this is all just jargon to me!)

Writing a routine to do this is probably obvious, but I'm
lisp-illterate (illisperate?).
