Smith) Distribution: usa Organization: Amoco Production Company, Tulsa Research Center Lines: 11 I've been using `vm' to manage mail for the last couple of days and have observed that I am spawning looping processes on my file server. I'm on a Sun 3/60 and the server is a Sparc machine. Ps entries for these processes are typically: 22810 ? R 31:08 -AA22810 From gpe3: RCPT (sendmail) where gpe3 is the name of my node. As I understand it, vm uses the smail feature that comes with gnu emacs. Does anybody have any suggestions about what is happening and what we might do about it?
