Co., Baltimore, Md. Lines: 26 A friend of mine is evaluating a 3b2 and has had a significant amount of trouble getting uucp to function. We actually had it running a few months ago, but the system was taken back by AT&T Technologies for a software upgrade and it has not worked pro- perly since. It seems to function properly with another 3b2 located in the AT&T Technologies Regional Center, but it will not operate properly with our systems (11/70 4.0) USG 4.0). A AT&T Rep. test- ed yesterday and decided since it worked with his other system the 3b2 was ok. The system he tested with is cp1 which happens to have links with about 20 other systems both in and outside my company. Has anyone else experienced anything like this with a 3b2? My organization has been pushing Unix and it's communication capabilities, but I am afraid our mainframe buddies are going to make us eat crow before this situation is resolved. -- =========================================================================== Signed by: Rod Hart (WA3MEZ) Minicomputer Technical Support District Chesapeake & Potomac Tel.
