It seems like the "days" weren't solar days, at least. The ICR creationists interpret the periods as seven 24-hr days. But others, see other interpretations as being more consistent. An example whould be Dr. Pattle P. T. Pun (PhD biology). See his book "Evolution: Nature and Scripture in Conflict?". Pun is a creationist, not a theistic evolutionist.
