The "fairwitnesses" on the mainline Conference Tree bulletin board systems have been doing essentially the same thing for many years now. The Communitree group -- which developed the Conference Tree concept and sofware -- is now disbanded, but hundreds of the systems continue in operation. The software comes with clear & excellent guidelines on libel and similar issues. Among the public-access computer bulletin board systems, the Conference Trees are remarkable for their wide-ranging discussions on a variety of controversial topics. -- Bob Cunningham ..{dual,ihnp4,vortex}!islenet!bob Honolulu, Hawaii
