I'm currently thinking about purchasing a Specialized Expedition touring
bike. Does anyone have any good or bad things to say about this bike?
Would you care to suggest another heavy-duty touring bike that might be
better, in the same price range (400) ?

What's the right kind of wheel to use for foreign touring? Isn't the
700C an international standard? Could I get a replacement 27 inch, 40-spoke
rim in a foreign bike shop?

Finally, please let me know if you can suggest any sources of information
on bike touring in Australia or New Zealand.

I'll be happy to summarize.
