Our oldest fast modem, the 3451PA that ran our network links for two
years and has been on 2581 of late, has failed. The A-J modem from
2580 has replaced it, and I've revived one of the Bell clunkers for
2580 (which means we're down to one 1200-baud dialup for the moment).
The bad modem flunks its own internal self-test, so presumably CGE
should be able to find the problem quickly.
