Discussions in this forum inspired us to run out to our
nearest video emporium, plunk down 2 bucks, then rush back home
for an evening of exciting time travel. We knew we were
in trouble when Christopher Reeve appeared in the credits (we
were hoping for Roddy McDowell). This movie was BAD. Whoever
gave it 1 * was generous. If you enjoy maudlin sentimentality,
puppy dog acting, made-for-tv ambience, then you too will thrill
to "Somewhere in Time". The ending -- Chris and Jane joining
hands in the cumulo-stratus swirls -- was stunningly insipid.

We were hoping to do a little time travel ourselves after the movie --
back to earlier today when we got stiffed for $2. But we would hate
to change the course of history over such unimportant trifles.

Even our dog had to leave the room.
