On an unrelated subject, why do I not notice the unsynchronized thingie purported to cause right squiggly brackets on 1200 modems (at my home) when using 9600 bps V.29 dial-throughs at the same home? We do large file transfers error free (taking 2-5 minutes) all the time over these things. dya
