I have a smart cat plus 300/1200 baud modem by Novation. It is the
external model. I really like the design and the Hayes comapatible
command set is good. But I seem to lose carrier at 1200 baud almost
as soon as I come up. 5 minutes is the best I have done for 1200 baud
connect tiime. I call several different systems to include Delphi
over Tymnet. The same on all of them. My old AJ 1200 baud modem
worked fine with my Kaypro. Is the Novation flakey? Anyone have
experience with this modem and this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
