ASG, Boulder Colo. Lines: 29 Some time ago I posted a request to hear from Fuego owners as to what kind of trouble, if any, they had had from their cars. This is a follow-up to that request. I got three replies. The first person said that he has had moderate trouble with his car -- not the most trouble-free car he's ever owned, but acceptable. The second person didn't own a Fuego, but had owned a Gordini, "the predecessor to the Fuego". His car was a black hole, sucking up all of his money for repairs, including a transmission problem that sounds very much like a problem I had. The third person didn't own a Fuego either (I only got one response from a Fuego owner; I guess it isn't a popular car in net-land), but he has a friend who didn't have any trouble with his Fuego until he totaled it (he was viciously attacked by a parked car). It sounds like my car is definitely more trouble prone than most other Fuego's (it must think it's a Gordini :-)). The car is a heck of a lot of fun to drive, but after 16 months and 15,000 miles I'm planning on selling it and buying a car that can go for longer that a month before it misses its mechanic.
