Included with the upgrade you mention is what DK calls the VRAM board, which
allows you to voice the Synergy, and a bunch of software that runs on a
Kaypro computer (or with some modification on any Z80, CP/M machine). This
package makes the Synergy real close to a GDS which costs about $30000.00.
I used such a system over Christmas vacation; it's real swell stuff.

I have had the RS232 interface on my Synergy for a year but haven't used
it in that time (no computer). I just recently added the MIDI/VRAM upgrade
and bought a KAYPRO computer. I've had some trouble getting my system to talk
to the computer because of an incompatability with my rev. of the RS232
board and the MIDI/VRAM upgrade. DK is sending me a new RS232 board.

One problem with the system is that there is currently no MIDI interface
available for the KAYPRO. I hear rumors that there might be one soon.

Any more Synergy owners out there? Any GDS users? Anyone friends with
Wendy Carlos?
