As announced on Glenn Hauser's SWL program "World of Radio"
on February 9, 1985, Kenwwod is discounting their hf receiver line.

R600 sale price $280
R1000 sale proce $360
R2000 sale price $440

Prices through dealers might be less, I do not know. This sale
might be due to the competition from Yaseau's new FRG 8800.

Subject : Review of Yaseau FRG 8800

A review of this receiver was done on the Radio Nederland DX
program "Media Network" on January 31, 1985. Comments were:

o Frequencies must be entered in two parts, first MHZ followed
by a entering key function and KHZ followed by a entering key
   function

o sensitivity on 150 khz-25 MHZ is ok, but 25-30 MHZ is poor

o two filters 2.7 khz and 6 khz are standard

o compatable to the Kenwood R2000 with RIT installed

o no notch filters

o RS-232 port

o optional 118-174 MHZ converter and wide fm filter
