In our area (Central NJ), Friends Of Animals runs it's own neutering
clinic. The prices are MUCH less than a normal veterinarian. About the only
problem is that you have to bring in the animal before 10am and pick it up
early the next day.

We have had several cats and a dog neutered by them with no problems. They
were even nice enough to do some emergency surgery on a stray cat hit by a
car near our house.
