Statistics Lines: 19 It's too bad Luzinski is retiring; I think he could have made a valuable contribution to almost any AL team. In fact, he had offers from two teams which he turned down to spend more time with his daughters (he lives in a Philadelphia suburb in South Jersey). He's well-set for life, as he reportedly earns $200,000 a year on his investments. The High School he'll be coaching is in Delmar, and he'll be in charge of the freshman team. Rumor has it that every male freshman at Delmar will be going out for baseball this year... Much criticism was levied at Luzinski during his career (some fair (fielding) and some unfair (weight)), but no sports writer has ever suggested that he was rude, or arrogant, or in anyway suffered from the inflated ego often besetting other athletic stars. By all accounts, he was ever the gentleman and all-around nice guy, and I wish him luck in the future. David Rubin {allegra|astrovax|princeton}!fisher!david
