There was someone wanting to access telenet through a basic

OPEN "COM1:1200,n,8,2,1" as #1

and was recieving parity bits sometimes set...
correct me if I am wrong (but no flames please), but 
telenet should be accessed as 7 data, 2 stop, no parity or even parity
I believe.

That would explain the problems.
