MacTerminal emulates a VT100 very nicely. In fact, I am using it (with vi)
to edit this note from home. The only thing in te way of terminal emulation
the will be better than macterminal on the horizon, is a product from
mainstay called TeleScape. Its a terminal emulator (vt100) that supports macros
xmodem, and even has a programmable emulation table, so you can define your
own terminal type if you like. There is also a way to define controls on the
screen, so that if you want to define a frequently used command such as
'rn', you just have to click it on the screen to use it....

I saw a beta of this program a few weeks ago, its by far the BEST terminal
emulator I have seen. I think its due out in a month or so.
