I have a copy of Gosling's EMACS (public domain software) that runs
under 4.1BSD. We converted to 4.2 recently. Instead of buying a 4.2
version from Unipress, I am trying to convert the existing version to
run under 4.2. It appears that everything would be all right if I
replaced the set of routines in mchan.c that support IPC facilities
using the MPX feature with those that use the 'modern' IPC features of
4.2. If you have attempted this hack, I would like to hear from you.
I am looking for information on how to go about doing it.

Thanks.
