In this article, please assume that "c" is the cents sign (godless ANSI!).

How many times have you seen a sign in a supermarket that read:

CARROTS: 0.35c/dozen

To me, that means 35/100 of a cent for a dozen carrots.  What a deal!
Acceptable ways of writing the sign are:

CARROTS: $0.35/dozen
	or
CARROTS: 35c/dozen
