Well, the mystery of the music for the British Airways commercial
has been solved.  A operaphile friend of mine identified it as
the Flower Duet from Delibes' Lakme.

Dropping down to the Harvard Coop to pick up a copy, I came across
a Seraphim cassette of highlights from Lakme (4XG-60386) with the
following prominently displayed on its cover:

"includes the FLOWER DUET featured in the British Airways TV commercial."

SOMEONE's obviously been asking for it...
