Rita - and others.

I have had a series of problems with my new S-10 1983 Blazer; including
constant stalling for 3 months (a new carburetor solved that eventually);

Bad wheel alignment which ruined a front tire at 7000 miles.

One channel of the stereo went bad.

Noisy spedometer cable and head which eventually (12000 miles) was replaced.
(Its still making nise tho!)

Noisy wheel trim rings.

Safety spare was recalled and replaced.

Excessive oil useage, 1 qt in 2000 miles; and finding out I was 3 qts low
about 4000 miles after a dealers service and checkup.

(Thanks to somebody here on the net who complained about the V6 oil problem
I have gotten the dealer to agree to replace the valve guides next week)

All these problems were eventually solved by the dealer - especially with the
help of the dealers WIFE!!. She is a great asset to the business in soothing
out problems and getting people ( Customers, GM, sevice managers) to cooperate.

The oil problem was 'solved' by sending a copy of the posting I read here
on the net, to the dealer, and asking ------ are you *SURE* that there are
no bulletins on this problem??

Good Luck.
