I am looking for a good, preferrably inexpensive C compiler that will
produce code to burn into an EPROM and run on a Z80.

Below is a list of C cross compilers that will produce target code for
the Z80 that I know exist. About all I know about these software packages
is that they do exist. Anyone knowing any more about any of these products
or any other C cross compilers, please respond either by mail or post
a response to the net.

Whitesmiths	201/750-9000	Produces 8080/8085 code, not real Z80 code.

VanData 206/542-7611	VAX binaries - $3000.00
IBM PC running DOS - in beta test
					-binaries - $500-$600

Telecon 408/275-1659	C source - $2500.00
Systems IBM PC - DOS binaries - $500.00
Note: does not support bitfields in structures

Interactive	213/450-8363	VAX binaries - $4500.00 up to 16 users
    Systems

I will summarize all responses to the net.

note: all of the above information was received during phone
conversations with the vendors' sales representatives and
may or may not be accurate.
