We recently had a problem on a multi-segment Ethernet whereby an apparent
short at a transceiver brought down the whole net. Can this be true?
Dont the repeaters provide any isolation at all? If this is indeed the
case, it leaves an awful lot to be desired. Knowledgable responses will
be appreciated.
