Everyone that responded recommended not taking the warranty. Shortly after posting the request, we started having problems with the bike starting. We had the battery tested and the salesperson told us we needed a new one, so we bought a new one. That turned out not to be the the problem. However the part that is the problem is still covered under our original warranty. To me that is a pretty good indication that we may need the extended warranty. When something goes wrong before the warranty is up you can bet something else is going to go wrong later. This part for this fix was $50.00. It won't take many of these to add up to the cost of the extended warranty. Thanks again, Kathy Ladewig
