A recent article in the NY Times mentioned how the standards for picking
juries must get tougher because people don't understand the law. When a
jury was polled as to how many thought the defendent must prove himself
innocent, 9 of 10 raised their hands. Later they were questioned how many
thought the government must prove the defendent guilty and 7 of the 10
raised their hands. Talking about a misunderstanding of the law.

This is all in reference to Flanagan's article claiming John was guilty
without doubt. A good lawyer always helps but, and this is a big but,
unless Flanagan helped him buy and distribute the cocaine how else could
he know he was guilty?
