	If she can't be direct with you in the beginning, don't count
	on her being any more direct later on.  You may be expected to
	figure out (guess? read her mind?) what she's feelings and what
	she wants all the time.

Say what?  A woman who asks a man out has to be doubly secure; she has
to be able to handle a possible rejection (which is usually enough to
stop alot of men and women in their tracks), plus she has to deal with
the fact that she may have been taught that men do the asking.  Jane
Smith may like the idea of asking John Doe out, but if she mentions it
to a friend or relative, it's possible that they will discourage her from
asking.

I wouldn't use the "length of time between interest and asking" as a
measure of that person's personality.
