Yes, you *can* buy the adhesive - it's called "Mirror and Trim Adhesive", or
something like that.  Any auto parts store would have it; the better-stocked
auto depts. of department stores often do.  As I recall, it's a two-part
adhesive - somewhat like epoxy only much thinner.
