My '83 GMC Jimmy had the same problem, but with as many miles as I put on my truck, my rear main started leaking during the warranty period. The only way to remedy the problem was the old "pull the engine and replace" move. Not a pretty thought at 10K miles. My Father-in-Law purchased a '84 Blazer 4 months ago, and he is detecting "little drips" near the main seal. It seems as though Chevy/GMC has a fix for it, as mine has not leaked since it was replaced. If they do, then why aren't they using this new seal on all regular production??? John
