So far, I have had no luck in track-
ing down the inker cartridges that
go inside the ribbon cartridge for
the Commodore MPS-801 printer. I
even called Commodore, and they
said that they can't even get
them (they wouldn't tell me who
manufactures the printer), and they
specifically told me NOT to try to
reink the inker cartridge myself.
They stated that my only alternative
was to shell out the $14 for a new
ribbon whenever the ribbon starts
to run dry.

Has anyone else had any luck
obtaining these elusive cartridges,
or at least in finding a supplier
of ink that is compatible with
dot matrix printers? (A local
typewriter ribbon manufacturer
stated that the type of ink I
needed was technically known as
"matrix ink"--thanks a lot!)
