I don't believe Guccione and his lawyer have opposing views from these comments. His lawyer is only saying that the PUBLIC IMAGE of Vanessa was one of a ''good'' girl, and Guccione is saying that although the public viewpoint may be that posing nude is ''bad'', in PENTHOUSE' view it is perfectly acceptable, and she should not lose her crown for something that is not bad in the magazines' opinion. Guccione probably knew all along that she would have her crown stripped after publcation of the photos, due to the SOCIETY view rather than the PENTHOUSE view. You may question Gucciones' morals, but it was definitely a shrewd financial move for him as the September issue is breaking records for number of issues sold (at $1.00 more than the regular price, I might add). I think Guccione could have used a little more consideration by publishing the photos just after her reign as Miss America and allowing her to keep the title, since it would have ended in a couple months anyways. Of course, it wouldn't have created as much of a media event as it is now, and that's not as much $$ in his pocket. Greed knows no limits sometimes... Bruce Kovalsky
