Does anyone know if there are Yacc and Lex-like tools that
will run under VMS? I understand that Lawrence Livermore Labs
distributes a tape of UNIX lookalike tools written in Ratfor.
Does this distribution include Yacc and Lex?

Sure. Back home I used YACC and Lex on VAX/VMS with no problems; all you
really need is and a good C compiler. I believe that Eunice also
gives you these tools, and if you've got DEC C and the appropriate licenses
(since you're Bell Labs, we'll assume the latter is true), getting them up
should be very, very straight-forward.
