On the other hand, I am personally acquainted with a couple heading
dizzily into their 70's, he a retired drama professor, she a media
(public TV) coordinator and marvelous interviewer, who have literally
papered the walls of their home with clippings, tickets, travel folders,
napkins, photos, and countless other traces of their nearly 50 years
together. When they completely cover an area, it's then varnished. He
wanted to carry it up all over the ceilings but she put the brakes on
at that point.

Last year they toured around the world together. They have only each
other, a daughter, not much property, but they are two of the happiest
(and sexiest) people I've ever known. And, of course, they have the
whole world on a string.
