VHS Hi-Fi is a standard in the same way that Beta Hi-Fi is a
standard. You have been confused by different writers using
different halves of the complete explanation. You can imagine
that VHS designers had to dig pretty hard to dig themselves
around the Beta Hi-Fi patents.   Dick Grantges  hound!rfg
