Are BMW motorcycles sold in California any different (i.e.: pollution
controls) than those sold elsewhere ? Mine (mail-ordered from San Jose)
has a throttle hesitation around 4000rpm, which seems to go away with
the choke set in the middle position. Might this be due to the carb
being set too lean; is running the carbs slightly too lean not a common
emission control measure ?
