As long as you ignore the government the government will ignore you???? This is light-headed bullshit. How can you ignore something or someone who tells you how to preach, what to read and what you will be eating next fall? I hate American foriegn policy and oppressive tactics BUT I'll take the USA anyday. At least I can say this country sucks or Reagan is a son-of-a-bitch without fear of jail or camp. I can always say, "Fuck off, amerika, I've had enough" and LEAVE. I think most soviets reporters talk to say more Pro-USSR/Anti-US things just because no one would be stupid enough to make a foreign correspondents' day with an "in-house ripping" at the expense of a year or two of "re-educating". My friend was a foriegn exchange student in moscow and he was getting teased in a local bar one day because all the patrons found out he was american. They said no one was unemployed in the USSR, no one went hungry. Then my friend started a private conversation with the leading antagonist and started an ideology rap which probably centered around some of my prior arguments (Freedom of speech and travel ). As they began to debate, the antagonist started to cry and said "Look, we both know how bad things are for me. I have to live here for the rest of my life. I do not like it. Let's talk about something else." As he said this he was crying. Nuff said. Anyway, they don't have net.singles over there...
