Well, this doesn't belong here.  Maybe we should set up a net.sports.tv?

Anyway, you have to remember that ABC was the "official television network"
to the 1984 olympic games.  Thus, ABC was providing feed for the other
nations around the world to watch their athletes.

The Romanians walked away with the rowing competition each time except for
the last one, where the Americans won.  They showed this and they showed
the American getting the medal.

What about the other races?

The complaint is that ABC was feeding footage to other networks (The BBC,
etc.) of only Americans winning.  They weren't beaming that much footage
of the other events where other countries won.  This got alot of people
upset.

Did you also notice the sudden shift about halfway through the games?  I
did.  Right after the BBC complained, ABC started feeding more about other
nations.

Actually, I just don't like ABC.  I have had to deal with some of their
staff people and they are pains in the neck.  Thus, I have a bit of a
biased opinion.
