Message-ID: <1104@hou4b.UUCP> Date: Fri, 17-Aug-84 14:58:40 EDT Article-I.D.: hou4b.1104 Posted: Fri Aug 17 14:58:40 1984 Date-Received: Sun, 19-Aug-84 01:33:14 EDT References: <381@hogpd.UUCP> Organization: AT&T Information Systems Laboratories, Holmdel, NJ Lines: 18 The evidence presented seemed to indicate that the FBI men did indeed suggest (in their role as drug smugglers) that bad things would happen if DeLorean were to pull out. In a situation like a large-scale drug deal, that would be interpreted as a death threat by many normal and reasonable people. If indeed such a suggestion was made, then the need to make it suggests that DeLorean wanted out before the deal went over, but was afraid for his life. UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES A REASONABLE DOUBT EXISTS as to whether DeLorean willingly violated the law. ``Willingly'' means, among other things, that he didn't feel that the consequences would jepeordize his own life. If indeed there is ``blame'' to be placed for the aquittal, it lies with the investigators, and not with the judicial system. -- from Mole End Mark Terribile (scrape .. dig ) hou5d!mat ,.. .,, ,,, ..,***_*.
