Yes, things are getting a bit vicious, aren`t they?
I was very, very surprised that nobody got ejected
when Moreland charged the mound in the 2nd game of
the double-header. I was under the impression that
both teams were under the warning for today`s game,
so there should have been an ejection when Bobby D
got beaned. I guess Lee Smith hit a Met later in the
game, and both he and Frey got the heave-ho. The
brushback pitch is one thing, but throwing at a hitter
is really going too far. But the final line is the
Cubs SWEPT the Mets and now have a 4 1/2 game lead.
It`s now on to Montreal for a 4 game series with the
Expos. I`ll be up there with them, along with a lot
of other Cub fans. Hope to come back to the Windy
City with a few more Cub victories.
