One person remarked that at Princeton in some era there used to be a service which composed limericks for special occasions, for a fee. I've sworn off limericks (and double dactyls), but if someone else wants to start peddling limericks, here's an ad they can use: Don't pass for some kind of a dumb guy, Buy limericks better than some try.
