I will try to give enough detail in this article for some wizard
to solve my problem. I have a SONY SL-4500 VCR. My cable lead
comes directly into the VCR, via the selector box. The line then
goes from the VCR to a 19" Panasonic color receiver (~7 years old).
There is an Atari junction box between the VCR and the TV. This
box connects to the antenna leads of the TV. My problem is viewing
reception through the VCR. The picture quality is quite a bit less
than when viewing through the TV. This is a relatively recent
occurence.

Variables:
1. Selector box is relatively new (~3 months)
2. Cable company has changed all their station positions in last week

Does anyone know what my problem may be? Cable reception around here
has never been the greatest, but until a few weeks ago the VCR was
able to clean it up rather than worsen it. Remember, I am not talking
about viewing recorded material. I would appreciate any knowledgable
answers.
