My goodness, here I am agreeing with Mr. London!  If you believe that the US
middle and working classes are the same, I suggest that you are wrong and 
should a pretty good recent book called 'Class' for a discussion of the
class system in America. (Oops, sorry, I mean in the United States.)
I don't remember the author, but it's a recent more-or-less best seller.
