I've been asked out a number of times, usually by women. Each time I find it a bit of a (pleasant) surprise. Moi? Really? One key is to be the kind of person who can be approached without fearing that one's intentions will be grossly misinterpreted. I mean, anybody projecting an "I'm irresistible" attitude is unlikely to attract any kind of low-key, "let's get acquainted" type of invitation. I'm very resistible, so maybe that's why I sometimes get asked out....:-) "I have problems going out with women after the first date." "Why? What do you usually do on a second date?" "I dunno -- I've never had one." -- Off the Wall of Gene Spafford The Clouds Project, School of ICS, Georgia Tech, Atlanta GA 30332 Phone: (404) 894-6169, (404) 894-6170 [messages] CSNet: Spaf @ GATech ARPA: Spaf%GATech.CSNet @ CSNet-Relay.ARPA uucp: ...!{akgua,allegra,amd,hplabs,ihnp4,masscomp,ut-ngp}!gatech!spaf ...!{rlgvax,sb1,uf-cgrl,unmvax,ut-sally}!gatech!spaf
