Alexi Grewal was not allowed to race Thursday because of illegal
substances detected in his blood. He claims this was an error
on his part in taking a herb capsule. He was suspended for a month
including of course the olympics. He appealed and was given the okay
for LA.

Connie Carpenter and Davis Phinney (sp?) were withdraw from the
Classic by the olymics trainers along with the rest of the olympics
riders for the US. They took it very well and are anxious to ride
in LA.
