With all this talk about getting the government out of the business of
providing services, via taxpayer's money, how about another proposal.

Make industry really pay for what they use! That is, make them pay for the
creation of water treatment plants to give them clean water to use, make them
pay for the creation of electric power plants for the electiricity they need,
make them pay for the air and water and land they pollute, ......

This is the logical extension of the idea of getting government out of the
business of providing services. (I would realy like to see the pollution one
implemented. How about a law prohibiting smoke stacks).

Don't kid yourselves. Business is not out to improve the lot of the people.
Businesspeople want to make *themselves* better off. If it has the by-product
of making others better off, well, that's nice.
