Whenever I try to print out a map of the usa using the S usa and unixplot
function the map comes out looking like someone has shrunk the North-South
orientation- its short and fat. How can I correct this? My S commands are as
follows:
             unixplot
             usa
             text(state.center,state.abb)
             q

I then print it to a V-80 versatec printer/plotter using the plot -Tver command. We are running 4.2 on a VAX 730. I don't know what version of S we have.

Also can anyone give a reference for the contouring fuction contour.
