I suppose that could have been interpreted as a cheap shot.  If you interpret
it that way, then I have taken a cheap shot at myself as well.  It is, however,
my wish *not* to remain single forever.  I think many people share this desire
and plan to settle down at some point with someone they like.  I can't imagine
spending a lifetime going to bars for "one night stands".  It's my opinion that
you and I have very different views on this subject (since you do call yourself
"the Bistro"), but isn't that the whole point of the this newsgroup?

Actually, I thought your article was *not* a cheap shot but rather your inter-
pretation of my posting and since you construed it one way, others probably
did too.  Thanks for letting me know.

It would be interesting to find out how many people out there *do* plan to stay
single *forever* and their reasons for doing so... doncha' think?
