Carolina at Chapel Hill Lines: 6 Are BMW motorcycles sold in California any different (i.e.: pollution controls) than those sold elsewhere ? Mine (mail-ordered from San Jose) has a throttle hesitation around 4000rpm, which seems to go away with the choke set in the middle position. Might this be due to the carb being set too lean; is running the carbs slightly too lean not a common emission control measure ?
