Oh gee, if I *have* to.

No, really, I volunteer... I'll be back there before most of
you read this. I'd like to point out, to Jon and to all the
others, that Purdue's reputation was not maligned. Just the
Purdue Computing Center. Now really, Jon, you can't say you
have never slurred PUCC, can you? Of course, most computing
centers have problems, but I considered Bill's flame quite
appropriate ... PUCC seems to have many disagreeable policies.
Like having their machines asleep longer on weekends than most
CS majors sleep. That is just plain silly. They complain about
not having the resources($), but if they can afford a Cyber 205,
why in God's name can't they keep operators there? Or better
yet, let the machines go unattended, much like the Engineering
	Computer Network?

I will not allow myself to rant and rave again ... I've told
them my feelings, and heard their replies. I'm sorry we
disagree, but they make the rules, and we (on PUCC machines)
live by them. Perhaps some day they will change, but I, for
one, am not holding my breath.

Thank God I'm a grad student now!
