Having just caught up on a five week backlog, I seem to recall a mention
of Saab fuel problems. As I was just skimming through the August 6 issue
of AUTOMOTIVE NEWS, I noticed a small artical about a Saab recall. In
summary, it states that Saab has notified owners of 1981 & 1982 900, 900S,
and 900 TURBO models that the electric fuel pump may stop running due to
a poor connection on the fuel gauge transmitter housing. I suggest that
anyone owning said vehicles get in touch with their dealers, and if you
didn't receive the manufacturer's notification, that you mention it (with
no uncertain terms! :-) ). It is definately a serious safety defect.
