Message-ID: <196@aesat.UUCP> Date: Mon, 13-Aug-84 11:16:40 EDT Article-I.D.: aesat.196 Posted: Mon Aug 13 11:16:40 1984 Date-Received: Mon, 13-Aug-84 13:14:23 EDT Organization: AES Data Inc., Mississauga Ont., Canada Lines: 16 I have, on occaision, accidently gotten myself into `reply' mode while running `readnews' (on a 4.1BSD VAX (if important)). The trouble is, there seems to be no way to back out of this situation, which becomes embarrasing when one realizes that no matter what one does, some unsuspecting article author is going to receive (at least) a null message from yours-truly. The question: IS there an abort? I have tried deleting all the lines in the edit buffer in the hopes that the mailer wouldn't know who it should send to; unfortunatly, the mailer is smart, and keeps the address privately. I have tried :q! but whatever was in the buffer gets sent anyway! COULD the user-interface be *SO UNFRIENDLY???* Bruce Walker ..decvax!utzoo!aesat!bmw
