OK, you've started with 70 HP, Armor class of 4, Strength level 18, and a +2 +2 Mace. You encounter a Xorn and after trading the first few blows you discover to your dismay that you are in the dreaded random-number-generator- drought. Normally this is discovered when your HP reach 10 and you haven't landed a blow. Now, in your pack are wands of light, drain life, magic missle, five restore strength potions, a potion of see invisible, a slimemold and other useful goodies, so you decide to turn around and run; to heal and gather your thoughts.
