On London's comment on the ratings of ABC's coverage, of course
it was tops. Where else could you get any coverage at all???????

What we really need is for ABC to fail to get an exclusive contract.
ABC would then have to battle it out with NBC and/or CBS sports. If the three
networks had enough differences in coverage (ie. less Americans here, more
there, less gymnastics here, more volleyball there....) there would be a clear
picture of what Americans wanted to see, via the ratings. What good is a vote
if it's for the only candidate? ("There's got to be a better way...")

OK, now that I have my nuke suit on, here it goes... I LIKE HOWARD!
I find that most people hate him for his opinions.
Some of his opinions I find fault with, but I cannot find fault with
his having opinions, which most people seem to. I think he is professional,
complete, and less biased than most. He actually told a Gold medal US boxer
that he thought the boxer shouldn't have been given the decision.

Besides, it's passe' to flame Howard. Lets flame someone who is more deserving,
senile, over the broadcasting hill, and ANNOYING, Jim McKay!!!!!!!

All those meaningful voice overs :->. (right over some other poor
	venue commentator!)

The second most over used line in the last 16 days,
"Go ahead kids, you deserve it..." *spuk, barf, gack.*

Jim was so bad during the closing ceremonies, I found myself wanting
to hear the stadium announcer instead.

How 'bout that closing, huh? Start out with 2001, then right into Close
Encounters, then a hint of Star Wars, and the grand finale, E.T..
(Although, I did enjoy the singing by Richie (sp?) and the fact that
the athletes were having wild amounts of fun!)

Phew, another long flame out, time for a rest.

"Verbosity is the enemy of the intelligent... (sorry VMS :->)
