If the teacher is conspicuous about it, then the answer is a definite yes.  If
it does not come up in the classroom environment than no because:

1:  it is irrelevant.
2:  it will start witchhunts. 

furthermore, any teacher who pushes *any* set of values not directly relevent
(e.g., discipline) to the classroom situation should be removed if these values
offend *any* of the parents.
