Multi-unit buildings often have numbers like 35a, 35b etc. In the US lots are usually of equal size in subdivisions. Also in many cities street numbers are keyed to the cities lot numbers are keyed to the street layout. Thus 6025 may mean 60th ave and 25th street. Numbers often then have gaps in them.
