Sorry, Greg -- you should find a new set of sources. Cons are OK on their own terms, but are not a good place to meet women. In terms of percentage female(s), a reasonable ranking is: computer hardware < fandom < computer software Of course, a special problem is that: Silicon Valley < almost anywhere I'm not claiming that it's not possible to meet a "more woman" at a con, even in San Jose, but the percentages are better in almost any other form of human activity. P.S. The women you might encounter at a NY/NJ con are much more likely to be involved in the publishing/writing/art end of things, so watch the boring computer talk. -- Please mail-carrier, bring back my person!
