The answer to his question is obvious: of the four, only one is singular. That same one has a list of nouns rather than gerund-phrases. The answer *must* be 'electricity' is the one that doesn't belong. It's not clear what Woolsey's anti-electricity propaganda is doing in this pile of gun-owner-control propaganda. The only relationship that I can see, is that the anti-electricity people and the gun-owner-control people are both anti-humanity, not caring that the effects of their power-grabs are known to be much more lethal than the excuse that they use. I probably need to explain that last statement, because so many people have been misled into believing that both gun-owner-control and anti-electricity propagandists have some sort of truth on their side. Item the first: nuclear safety. Q: How many people died as a result of TMI, and why? A: About 125 to 150 people per year have died from political action responding to the TMI incident. If the actions had not been taken by government, they would be recognized as being murder victims. When the State of Pennsylvania (or is it a Commonwealth?) shut down the other plant, arbitrarily, they caused the power to be generated by lethal means--coal, gas, hydro, and solar--rather than the safe nuclear generator. The effluent from the coal and gas that had to be used spewed into the atmosphere killed those people. The gun-owner-control people are screaming for a similar reduction in public safety. The discussion that is going on here is adequate to demonstrate much of the damage that the gun-owner-control fanatics wish to bring about, so I won't attempt to add anything--except, of course, an apology for injecting reason and reality into net.flame :-). -- --Bill Price uucp: {decvax!ucbvax philabs}!sdcsvax!bmcg!bprice arpa:? sdcsvax!bmcg!bprice@nosc
