A number of people have been kind enough to send me letters
complimenting me on some of the limericks I've sent. One
person remarked that at Princeton in some era there used
to be a service which composed limericks for special occasions,
for a fee. I've sworn off limericks (and double dactyls),
but if someone else wants to start peddling limericks, here's
an ad they can use:

Don't pass for some kind of a dumb guy,
Buy limericks better than some try.
We charge low for the clean,
       Lower still for obscene --
Double meanings are harder to come by.

(Sorry about that.)
