I had quaffed a levitation potion just before dropping into a party room. I happily danced around several Centaurs and the like, stood in the door, and cleaned most of them out. Before killing the last Centaur, I floated gently to the ground, took a step, and woke him up. The durned things are useful ... Oh yea, for what it is worth, I finally won a normal Rogue game. If any of you out there are frustrated by losing all the time, I suggest that you find someone at your site to hack you a 'party rogue' version. This version promises one monster room per level, with the associated magic. I won a 'party' version after about two weeks of on and off playing and then won normal Rogue the next week.
