Why is this? Most of the "culprits", in my experience, are women; although I've known a few men who overdo the after-shave as well. My personal opinion is that after doing this for many months/years, the user becomes so aclimated to the smell they no longer realize how much perfume/cologne their using. As a result, they just keep splashing it on until THEY can smell it--whereupon they now have greater range than a skunk! (And in some cases, I'd actually prefer the skunk :-)).
