After being down for two weeks getting 4.2 installed, I had a lot of news to catch up on (net.flame alone was of prodigious!). Unfortunately, this newsgroup, while one of my favorites, was also one of the last. But, here I am, and I see several as yet unanswered questions into which I will insert my 2 telmars. Re: Why Jon Pertwee quit. Jon and Roger Delgado (the original Master) were good friends, and after Roger's tragic death in a car accident, Jon felt it was best that he quit the show. All this comes from ``DOCTOR WHO: A Celebration''. Re: Regenerating clothes. The only regeneration I've seen is half of Jon Pertwee/Tom Baker's, in "Robot". At the beginning of the episode, he is in fact dressed in Jon Pertwee's outfit (leading to a wonderful scene in which he repeatedly ducks into the TARDIS, to come out wearing various bizarre costumes, with the Brigadier et. al. finally okaying the one which is so familiar to us.). As an aside, the "Trademark" long scarf was a complete accident. The costume designers gave the pattern and material to a lady to be knitted, but she got a bit carried away, and used up all the material they'd given her! Re: The episode guide. I am nearly finished with an updated and corrected version of the program guide with several additions as well. (What else was I supposed to do while june was down?) It should be ready in the next couple of days, so hang on! "Well, I just put 1.795372 and 2.204628 together." "And what does that mean?"
