Thanks for one of my favorite types of puzzles. I constructed this solution
on my lunch hour:
Since the Norwegian lives in the first house and is next to the
blue house, the second house is blue. Since the Englishman's house
is red and the ivory and green houses are adjacent, the first house
is yellow and Kools are smoked there by the Norwegian. Since milk
is drunk in the middle house, coffee in the green house, orange
juice by the lucky strike smoker, and tea by the Ukranian, the
Norwegian drinks water.

The horse is next door to the Kools smoker, or in the blue, second
house. Since the Englishman's house is red and the Spaniard owns a
dog, neither of them live in the second house. Since the Japanese
smokes Parliaments, he neither drinks orange juice nor smokes Lucky
Strikes. Since the Ukranian drinks tea and the Norwegian drinks
water, the Japanese must drink coffee or milk. Since coffee is
drunk in the green house and milk in the middle house, neither are
drunk in the second house, so the Japanese doesn't live there
either. Therefore the tea-drinking Ukranian and his horse live in
the second house.

Now the snail owner smokes Old Golds, the Japanese Parliaments, the
Norwegian Kools and the orange juice drinker Lucky Strikes, so the
Ukranian smokes Chesterfields. Since the Spaniard owns a dog, he
does not smoke Old Golds, but rather Lucky Strikes. This leaves
the Englishman with the Old Golds and snails; since he lives in a
red house, he does not drink coffee so he is also the milk drinker.

Therefore the Englishman lives in the middle house and the fox must
live on the other side of the Chesterfield smoker, with the
Norwegian. Since the spaniard keeps the dog, the Japanese owns the
zebra.
