Maybe we should set up a net.sports.tv? Anyway, you have to remember that ABC was the "official television network" to the 1984 olympic games. Thus, ABC was providing feed for the other nations around the world to watch their athletes. The Romanians walked away with the rowing competition each time except for the last one, where the Americans won. They showed this and they showed the American getting the medal. What about the other races? The complaint is that ABC was feeding footage to other networks (The BBC, etc.) of only Americans winning. They weren't beaming that much footage of the other events where other countries won. This got alot of people upset. Did you also notice the sudden shift about halfway through the games? I did. Right after the BBC complained, ABC started feeding more about other nations. Actually, I just don't like ABC. I have had to deal with some of their staff people and they are pains in the neck. Thus, I have a bit of a biased opinion. -- Peter Merchant P.S. -- Anyone have any idea where this article SHOULD HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED?
