Lines: 29 [This joke is usually told when a group ] [of friends start telling ghost stories.] Back in the old smogless days when people still used horse-driven carts as a means of transportation, there was this "taxi" driver named Luke. Now, Luke was a very hard working man. Everyday, he would get up very early in the morning and work till late into the night. On his way home, he would have to pass by a cemetery before reaching home. Everything went fine, until one night when weary Luke was passing by the cemetery on his way home. Suddenly, a dark huge wolf with red shining eyes jumped out of nowhere. That really scared the pants off Luke. But, the next thing was even more scary. The wolf actually called out Luke's name and ordered him out of his horse-cart! Luckily, Luke acted quickly and raced his horse as fast as he could. The wolf gave chase but after a while Luke was able to outrun him. So, he slowed down the horse, wiped the cloud sweat off his brows and muttered: "Damn, that's the first time I've heard a wolf talk". His horse turned around and said: "Me too!" -- Alex Pang ARPA: pang@UCLA-LOCUS.ARPA UUCP: ...!{cepu,ihnp4,trwspp,ucbvax}!ucla-cs!pang
