What I am looking for are good ideas, pitfalls to watchout for in design, etc. for a "convertible" frame. I am planning a frame (double sized) which will fold up for the backrest (suggestions on a comfortable angle?) and fold back down easily for the bed position; and which will slide out and up (I haven't figured out this mechanism yet--a slated section which would fit into/under the "seat" and slide out into the bed position, I think) to extend the bed. Suggestions on types of joints, wood, hardware would be appreciated. Thanks! Patty Harper {allegra|ucbvax}!cad!pharper pharper@cad.arpa
