Pete was a hardware jock. I prefer software hobbying. Looking through his stuff, I saw a lot of how-to type home projects, and thought "Are there any equivalent magazines for software?" What I mean is a magazine that regularly features articles that flowchart useful algorithms for the home hacker. (For instance, Pete once gave me a series of articles on how to write your own FORTH interpreter). How about a magazine that explains binary tree searches and the like? I especially do not mean stuff like Compute! Gazette, or something for kids with no other interests than typing in silly games written in BASIC. If anybody knows of a magazine that does this, especially one whose prime function is to do things like that, please post to the net, or email to me. -- --Bill Buie
