Upon reading the first response, I was going to post:

	"Riding crops"

as my somewhat frivolous response. But then someone got serious....so!

I think that the kind of gifts men like are, basically , the same kind
of gifts that women like. A gift should be a piece of yourself, and
show consideration and understanding of the recipient. Backrubs,
home-cooked food of various varieties, phone calls, flowers, etc., all
show thoughtfulness, understanding, and caring. (Yes, I like to receive
flowers, too!)

One of the nicest Christmas gifts I ever received consisted of two
1/2-lb bags of different coffee beans, a copy of "The Annotated Alice",
some M&Ms, and a box of chocolate "cream cups" for coffee (fill them
with heavy cream and float in a cup of coffee). I am notorious for my
abuse of caffeine in the bean form (freshly ground each morning) and
chocolate; and I had mentioned, ONCE, while strolling through a
bookstore several months before Christmas, that I someday wanted to
find a copy of TAA. The total cost couldn't have been more than $15;
yet it touched me very deeply and made me feel very special. *That* is
what a good gift is all about.

A piece of yourself is the finest gift you can give.

Cheers,
chris
