(This may be a little out of place in this group, but a while back
there was some discussion of the differences between ginger beer
and ginger ale.)

A couple of weeks ago I ran across some Schweppes ginger beer in
a local grocery store. [For Bay Area residents, it was Nob Hill Foods.]
Unfortunately, since that time I've been unable to locate it again.

Schweppes ginger beer is definitely different than their ginger ale.
My question is: has anyone else run across this beverage, and if so,
how does it differ from British ginger beer? Since Schweppes is a
British company there's some hope that the American and British
versions may be the same.
