Two that are of immediate concern are: 1) If any of the 'backup-...' variables are turned on, Emacs appends a period to the name of the file being updated, rather than a .BAK 2) I have not been able to figure out an elegant way of repeating the last command executed without creating a macro If anyone can provide assistance with these matters, I would be very grateful.
