_Red Dawn_ is a powerful movie about a band of teenagers who take
to the hills and become guerrillas after a communist invasion of
America.

On my scale, definitely a should-see.

Make that *TWO* people from here that enjoyed it.

Well, perhaps not "enjoyed it". You didn't "enjoy" the movie
"Southern Comfort," you experienced it. This is one of those
movies. I particularly found the way that one of the kids began
to ENJOY killing (he was avenging his father's death) rather
frightening, but quite realistic.

Are THESE the movies that will be rated "PG-13"? There's no question
in my mind that this would have been rated "R" under the previous scheme,
because of the violence. Keep this in mind, parents: "PG-13" is not a
partitioning of "PG" into "okay for little kids" and "not okay for little
kids", it's a redefinition of what "PG" and "R" mean. I guess that means
that if a movie's rated "R" because of violence, it must have something
*SO* gruesome that you might not want to go, and taking the kid is out of
the question.
