They claim that the following is available: 68000 Z80 Intel** (80,85,186,286,86) 16032 OEM config. $850 $300 $200(8bit) to $ 950 (286) $850 Pre config. 950 375 250 to 1100 950 These guys must have one hell of a development staff. Everything through the 8085 is available, the 8086/88 is 7/84, the 186 in 8/84, the 286 in 10/84, the 16032 in 12/84. Not to mention SL, S1-Pascal (ISO with extensions), S1-F77 (with extensions) , S1-C (full K&R w.e.), S1-BASIC (ANSI w.e.). BUT IF THIS WERE NOT ENOUGH: 8/84: UCSD Pascal translator Microsoft BASIC 5.x(BASIC-80) translator C BASIC translator 10/84: S11 COBOL(74) w.e. S1 Modula-2 w.e. 1/84: HP Basic converter DEC BASIC PLUS/PLUS2 convertor Pascal/MT "" OMSI Pascal/2 Convertor Pascal/VS convertor 2/85: S1-PL/1 S1-Ada S1-Lisp S1-Snobol AND a cross assembler. . . . . . . . Uh, looks more impressive than the original Electronics (Week) ad. What next: S1 to run on a Burroughs B6900? I was always taught that writing a compiler was a several man-month to a couple of man-year project. When I was looking for a C compiler, Tartan (who has a real product and a production compiler-compiler) quoted me 4 more months of development time for the 68K version. As for operating systems, this is supposed to be a several man-year project...for something that "does it all." Either these guys are pulling the scam of the century OR someone has been raising computer engineers from birth for this project. This brochure is packed with information which makes even automobile brochures seem to promise nothing. k When are these guys going to have S1 running on the 6809 in mu Z-TAC cable box? -:) -dya- Seriously.
