I was quite surprized when the copied programs worked perfectly, particularly after hearing in this newsgroup that it didn't work..? I wonder if individuals are having problems copying certain kinds of programs, such as those that consist only of a system call, or those that are primarily machine language but start out in BASIC (eg. WEDGE). I have a copy of WEDGE, DIR, and a couple other disk utilities on every disk I have ever formatted. It really makes things easier. While I won't give you copies of any of CBM's software, I will tell you how to make extra copies if you already own the software (assuming you don't already know how...) And now for another subject... I am curious as to what backup procedures are being used by various uComputer users. Do you make backup floppies, tapes, or both? How do you copy data files between tape and disk or disk and disk? Do you create a separate program for each data file format, or do all your data files follow a particular format?
