Ah! Nostalgia. Hate to do this Prentiss, but the last verse
goes:

Light up the cigars boys,
this life is for Squirls.
I'm off to the drugstore
to whistle at girls.

Of course I spelt squirlls wrong.:-)

There really is a Fort Mudge, Georgia.

How about:

I was stirring up a stirup cup
in a stolen sterling stien.
When I chanced upon a ladle
who was once my valentine.

And then he wrote:

Deck us all with Boston Charlie,
Walla Walla, Wash and Kalamazoo.
Nora's freezing on the trolley,
(memory dump)

Who out there still has a copy of the Pogo Songbook? I lost
mine in passing through this veil of tears. Better yet, who
has the recording of Pogo and Friends? Lost that too. Come
to think of it, I lost a twenty dollar bill on 3rd Ave in N. Y.
about twelve years ago. Anybody find it?

Ah Pogo. Perhaps the greatest philosopher ever produced in this
country.
