This is interesting: you are 10% over the warranty.  I would have
thought, therefore, that unless you bought the long-term
protection plan, that GM has no obligation whatsoever to pay for
the repair.  Am I being naive?  Do car companies fork over if you
make enough noise?  I would be delighted if this were the case,
since my warranty just ran out, and I am expecting to have to do
major repairs any day now...
