#1:	Captain Marvel (the Kree spaceman) dies.
Up springs another Captain Marvel (the woman in the Avengers).

#2:	Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew) loses her powers.
Up springs another Spider-Woman (Coloradoan in the Secret Wars).

#3:	Adam Warlock (gold-skinned Him) dies and get sucked into a soul gem.
Up springs another Warlock (alien in New Mutants).

Is Marvel doing this to protect copyright on those characters?
It seems that Marvel will *always* have a Captain Marvel.
If he/she/it dies, another will be created to protect copyright.
