The Qubie Modem is reported to have a much higher error rate than the
Hayes Smartmodem. Qubie's also drop carrier more and hang up. Though I
do not own a Qubie, I have used them through various BBSes I have accessed.
I have had the most trouble with BBSes running with the Quibie.
Apparanetly this is due to Qubie's use of cheaper parts and less shielding.
Also, their VLSI chips may not be of the best design.
Do not despair, however. It has been said that Quibie is redesiging its
modem so as to eliminate these problems.
