Co., Everett, WA Lines: 23 I am just popping into this newsgroup for a while to see if any of you can help with a little something I need. I recently became the proud owner of a "Victory" canner, manufactured in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, circa 1945. This little baby is a gem -- still has the original wooden handles, the rack, and the enamel has NO CHIPS in it. It will be great for making jam once all the wild blackberries around here start to ripen, but as a real pressure-canner, it's no good, because the one thing it's missing is the pressure regulator. (At least that's what I think you call that little metal thing that goes on top and lets the steam out little by little.) Does anyone know if the company still exists, and if so, if they still make the right-size thingey? Or where I can get a suitable replacement? Thanx in advance -- -- Gary Benson ms232e -*- John Fluke Mfg Co -*- Box C9090 -*- Everett WA 98206 USA {microsoft,lbl-csam,allegra}{decvax,ihnp4,ucbvax,tektronix!uw-beaver}!fluke!inc |-) Inputs Cheerfully Multiplexed (-|
