Alas, for the lack of communication on this net, in spite of all of
the written words contained herein...
When i wrote my original article stating that certain subjects belonged
in other newsgroups (<--para-phrased), i thought about putting in a
:-) sign, to indicate that i was half-joking about my logic being
'flawless', but i figured that if i did so, then it might be taken as
a sign that i was joking about the entire article. i was not. i still
believe that those topics belong elsewhere. for those who have just
joined us, i am referring to 'Children & religion/homosexuality'. by the
way, Moira, good jab (i had to ask :-). however, Darryl, you chose to make
several interesting extrapolations based on what little (VERY little) i said.

[me, of course]
>>presumably most of us are single and therefore have no children, and
>>therefore no reason for these topics.

> from Darryl:
> Allow me to enlighten you in the "flaw's in this logic". Single is a
> state of being unmarried. This is not to be confuse with never married.

Granted. i was not confusing these two states of being.

[this was me, alas, it was meant to be ':-)' see above]
>>if you can find a flaw in this logic, then you probably have no need of the
>>rest of us in your little world anyway.

ok fine, i'm not perfect. i admit it. satisfied? but then, i never claimed
to be perfect anyway. brilliant deduction: i am not and have never been
married or had children. however, (why do i want to say flame on??) i don't
recall EVER having stated OR implied that anyone in this divorced state is
"somehow unclean, unpure"... etc (garbage).

> What gives you the right to say that just because that I am single and have
> children that I should look for another news group.

you make it sound like i'm kicking you out of your neighborhood. i'm not
kicking you out of anywhere (i don't have the right!). i just
believe that certain topics belong elsewhere *in the long run*.

> They are trying so hard
> to put their life back together and to you and your to treat this very large
> of single people like dirty makes me as mad as hell.

(i will not flame. i will not flame. (say that 10 times under breath))
honestly. i just flat out refuse to let this be the start of another brawl!
how would you know how i treat divorcees and their children? would you
happen to know if i have any close friends among divorced parents or if i
have even (gasp!) dated a divorced parent? a very close friend of mine had
a child out of wedlock (eg: single parent!). be for real and don't start
making accusations or direct implications that you can't back up and have
no basis for.
it has occurred to me that perhaps i should re-state my original
logic: *presumably* (MOST of us) (are single and have no children).
once again: (most of us) are single and therefore (most of us) have no
children... didn't we just go through this? (something about jews? :-)

I *never* make sweeping generalizations! (well, almost never :-)
Exception #1: I am *always* open to suggestion/correction/discussion.
