There are many reports of an "IBM Advanced PC" circulating in the
business oriented trade rags. It is rumored to be a 6 MHz 80286
based system, 20 Mb hard disk, mucho memory, etc.

From what I've heard of the benchmarks (Motorola info, though), this
will be slower than AT&T's PC by a larger factor than the clock
rate differences alone would explain.

Now for a real rumor ... I've heard that a firm in the Boston area
is working on a port of System V to the Advanced PC. "For a large
company" ... which large company will have System V on a PC first ???
