That's a bunch of bullshit!  Contrary to popular belief, there are
other uses for parachutes besides allowing you to jump out of
planes without dying.  Sheep, for example, won't nibble through
silk (but they will through nylon, so make sure what kind of
'chute you have.)  There was one time where I needed one (well,
okay, I didn't *really* need it, but it would have made things
a LOT easier) and didn't have it.  I forsee needing one again
sometime (soon, I hope).
