Lines: 11 <1 for you and the rest for me...> As a follow-up to the various articles on magnetic polar switching and magnetic drift of the earth's field, I offer the following tid-bit: On the USGS map of Block Island Ma.; the magnetic variation is 14 degrees West of True North as of 1970. I had given other figures for North-west Britain to counter an assertion that True and magnetic N were identical; this figure is more relevant to North-Eastern USA.
