>If you don't like America then get the hell out!

Well, with a start like that, you can guess how the article will progress.

>...Maybe
>we have enough pride in our country to be interested in how many Gold medals
>Americans have won.

Too bad the significance of the individual's achievment has to be twisted
into a source of nationalistic pride. Sure, it IS interesting and it IS a
source of some pride--but it's still primarily an effort of a particular
set of individuals.

>Maybe we shouldn't let jerks like you into this country
>to work or study! You certainly seem willing enough to take advantage of the
>benefits of this country. And then you turn around and slam the entire
>population because of one network's coverage of the stupid olympics!

Well, he didn't exactly slam the entire population--but then, what's a
gross misrepresentation when you've got an axe to grind?

>America
>Love it or leave it!

Perhaps this last one needs translation: When he says "Love it or leave
it" he really means "I'm pigheaded and I'm damn proud of it, and I'll try
to drag the rest of my country in the mud to force you to accept my
pigheadedness." Of course, you can reply as we did in the '60's:
America: Change it or lose it!
