My thanks to all who responded to my message about CX 650 oscillation
problems, and apologies for the delay in replying. Most replies
suggested that I have the steering head bearing checked out (which
I did; it's ok). Some respondents complained of similar problems
with their bikes, all CX 650's or 500's.

As far as I can narrow it down, my "problem" is really three:

  - unequal fork pressures (intermittent wobbling at any speed)
  - low rpm oscillation (characteristic of these twins, apparently)
  - lousy tires (wobble while riding at 120 kph or more)

The first was easy to fix. As for the third, I solicit opinions.
What's your favourite tire for medium distance all-weather touring?
I'm not too concerned with price, more with safety and a long-lasting
tire. Would anyone care to comment on the radials that I see
offered by Dunlop and Michelin?

                                     Thanks -Darrell.
