I read the novelization of "Buckaroo Banzai" - I found it in the store
in the section where they have the current best-sellers and not in the
science-fiction section where it belongs. The book is hilarious. It is
a light-hearted romp through science-fiction ala "Star Smashers of the
Galaxy Rangers" by Harry Harrison. Buckaroo Banzai is the head of the
Banzai Institute, a philanthropic bastion of free-thinking freedom fighters
and PhD's. Buckaroo is a talented surgeon and doctor (to the President,
no less), top-notch physicist, and rock star. His battle with the Lectroids
of the Eighth Dimension is something out of the style of E.E. "Doc" Smith.
This one looks like a real sleeper!
