Covering up the rough spots is one thing - putting cheap veneer on solid
mahogany is something else!

I don't know why they do it, either. Madison Avenue con job, probably.
(Everytime I see a Maybelline commercial, I grab the sickness bag, as
they turn an attractive lady into something ugly.) It's not just TV -
so-called "glamour" magazines are probably the #1 offender. (Mild
hailstorm) Same goes for nail polish, perfume, and those yucky hair-
styles in snob catalogs (e.g. Emporium-Capwell) - most of them destroy
whatever attractiveness the women had.

No flattery or sexism intended, and I don't think I'm alone in saying:
Ladies, your faces have a natural beauty. Keeping them clean and neat
will do the most to let the beauty show. Be sparing with anything else.
(This should not be taken to the extreme that some do, who don't even
*try* to be pretty.)

"If it's obvious, it's too much."
