It's all true.  Some survey during the past year found that 85% of
the respondents did not know which side the US was supporting in
Nicaragua.  Americans are woefully ignorant of geography, too,
including their own.

I believe it was historian Richard Hofstadter who wrote,
"America is the only country that was conceived in perfection and
has been getting better ever since."
