He worked with agent Fred Duncan, who is listed as deceased in the X-Men section of the Handbook of the Marvel Universe. I don't know how or when he died, though. Back around issue 45 (?) when Professor X "died" (yeah, sure, it was the Changeling), the X-Men split up for a few issues.
