David LeblingThe best matter duplication story I know of is Damon Knight's book, "A for Anything." In it, a cheap, easily made duplicator is invented. In the first chapter, civilization collapses. Then Knight skips ahead a few hundred years to look at the society (basically a feudal one) that arises to deal with the duplicators. The book is, I fear, out of print. Dave (pdl@xx) -------
