TERMCAPs and the stty command are only cosmetic. They can not redefine the C64's character set. I own a VIC20 and I'm looking over about 4 different terminal programs and support TERCAPs. What I've seen will not be accept- able for my use. So-----I'm in the process of writing my own. A possible suggestion if you're going this route is to sit down with your C64 and find out what the computer see's for each key that is typed in. I have found out what some terminal programs say and what actually is are two different things. Sit down with the true ASCII codes and compare them to the C64's modified ASCII.
