Astrophysics Lines: 9 The Princeton Wind Ensemble this semester is playing, among other things, Stravinsky's Circus Polka. (I heartily recommend this work to fans of Schubert and anyone with a sense of humor.) The piece is subtitled "Composed for a young elephant", and was in fact commissioned by Barnum & Bailey for an elephant ballet. Has anyone ever seen this performed, elephants and all? Any information on the... er... choreography would be welcome.
