Your demonstration is sound mathematically, but probably not physically.
If we in the third dimension have no 4th-dimensional mass, then we cannot
see 4th-dimensional creatures, even if they intersect our hyperplane.
The laws of physics won't let us interact.

As you point out, the known laws of physics could simply be wrong.  In
a sense they ARE wrong, since supernatural experiences are quite real
to those who experience them.
