Personaly (sp?) I find that most mispellings (sp?) are caused by
a subconcious (sp?) desire to exibit (sp?) ones own inadiquisees (sp?).
I also think that Wensday (sp?) is a lot harder to spell than
Tusday (sp?). If I took the time and energy to exsamine (sp?) a
dictionary for each and every word that I had douts (sp?) about, I
would never get the stupid note writen (sp?). Bye the way, a freind
of mine is and english Teacher and let me read some of her student's
papers. I was shocked and bemused (sp?). "Why can't Jonny Write?" is
certainly a good question. These papers were abolutely horrendous (sp?).
Theses kids (high scool) had incomplete. Setences with missing verbs,
misspelled (sp?) words, incorrect tences (sp?), no subjects. Then, my
freind gave them a C grade. When I was in scool, I would have FLAGGED
that course for that kind of writing. What a joke.

My wife teaches legal writing hear at the University of Illinois
(while she work on Master's of Law) and even the first year law
students have a problem writing (to quote a student: "I won't need this
class since I already know how to write" - my wife read his first
brief and WHAMMY C- (the J.D.-to-be was rather upset!)) Anyway, the
point is, correct speach (sp?) and writing are necessary for accurate
comunication, but "C-lint" type of syntax (sp?)/grammer checking on notes
here is a bit absurd. Why should anyone read a note about tailgating,
or wombats take the energy to point out that "it should be "they're" and
not there or their". I know, I know, they want everyone to know that
they DIDN'T get a Ph.D in English but THEY know about such things.

Rant rant rant, rage rage rage, flame flame flame.

Question: What was the name of the Fantastic Four character that
          created this newsgroup?
