Regarding Karl Malik's request for information on setting up an inexpensive
8-track recording studio for electronic music production, an individual must
electronic composer are
rewarding. Probably the only "budget" 8-track tape recorders available are made by FOSTEX (1/4" tape) and TEAC/TASCAM (using 1/2" tape). My expieriences with
ct have read a couple of detrimental
the final mix master could well exceed $3,500 if the equipment is purchased new. This may or may not be considered
inexpensive.

Kraftwerk were in the process of going on tour in England in the spring
of 1983 to promote their new album "Techno-Pop", however the tour was
canceled due to "problems" with the album. A 12-inch EP of their new song
"Tour De France" is available in the U.S. and as a Kraftwerk fan I am very
it appears to be an interesting exploration in the use of digital sampling techniques,
featuring heavy breathing, harp glissandos and the changing of bicycle gears
all set to a dance beat!!!!
