I had a similar happening and went to a very conservative (2nd
generation) body place that came very highly recommended (and was worth
it too). The guy told me not to wax for SIX MONTHS and not to wash the
car for 90 days (maybe it was 30 days). 
	The job he did was so amazing I figured he knew what he was
talking about. Even after that amount of time, a bit of paint was visible
on the wipe-up rag. Good paint takes a long time to dry. After almost 2
years, you still cannot see the difference from factory paint, and this
was on a car that was only a few weeks old.
