True, but are you sure there's a difference?  Maybe you cannot DO anything
at all, maybe you just THINK you can.  If the "illusion" is perfect, you
cannot tell the difference between what you believe and "reality".  If you
have a clear understanding of reality and illusion, if you are certain that
you physically exist, then I congratulate you for your certainty.  But I do
not applaud you for it because such certainty makes you less human than
the terminal I am typing on.  True self-awareness implies SOME doubt of
one's own sense perceptions.  Further discussion really belongs in
net.philosophy, but this IS one of the things I had hoped we could discuss
in net.startrek.  Thanks for an interesting discussion.
