Why should I have to go out of my way just to make it convenient for
someone else to break the law. If someone wants to speed past me,
he can do it by passing on the right, especially if he/she has
the presence of mind to look far enough ahead to see me and have
more than ample time to lane change. If you're going to speed, you
might as well be the one to change lanes, this is no more dangerous
than my doing so, and certainly less dangerous than tailgating.

What are multi-lane freeways for? (3,4,5,6+ lanes) Extra lanes are
available where heavy traffic occurs. Does anyone really expect
everyone on the Los Angeles freeway to drive in the right hand
lane except to pass? The right lane isn't big enough to support
very many cars safely or unsafely.

Sure, the leftmost lane should be reserved for 70+mph turds to
whom pressing a gas pedal makes them feel like real tough
macho types. But don't expect the rest of us to pack into the
right lane and admire those to our left.
