Thanks for all your responses about washing rice.  The general
concensus seemed to be:  if in doubt, wash it.  If it is from
a package of Ben's rice from the grocery store, you probably
don't need to wash it.  If it is bulk rice from an oriental
grocery store in a big rice sack, wash it.
