In response to uicsl!wombat --

I've got a few words for truckers, too, but they're not suitible for
the net (unless you're Au N.). Once, while driving through Ohio on
I-80, I had one of the |||[censored]|||s on my tail. I jammed it
down to about 75 mph in order to get some distance between us, but
he just kept on coming. I gave up at 80, and got off at a rest area.

I think that truckers get bored and like to harass motorists on the
highway for amusement. This is particularly true of "convoys," where
the obnoxious ]]]|censored|[[[s get together for parties at 65 mph.
Every time I see a truck on the interstate, I think of my own experiences
and Dennis Weaver's in "Duel." Every time I see one hauled over for
speeding it just makes my heart sing. I don't like them, their maudlin
music, or their trashy CB slang. And no, I don't care to hear how they
keep the life blood of America flowing, for all of you apologists out
there who invariably spring up in defense of flame-ees. If you like
truckers, just take a little drive on I-80 through Hammond, Indiana,
on any Friday afternoon, about 4:00 PM. You'll be surrounded by your
good buddies.
