Three cheers for Ricky Hall's wipeout of IU's Steve Alford.) Speaking as an IU alumnus and as a fan of IU Basketball since the Branch McCracken Era, I would like to say that I have a higher opionion of Indiana's archrival than some of their own fans. I would not have accused Purdue's Gene Keady or his players of deliberate unsportsmanlike conduct. I respect Ricky Hall for having apologized to Steve Alford and to Bobby Knight for the incident in question. Ricky Hall is a gentleman, a sportsman, and a fine basketball player. ...and IU's current crop of Freshmen and Sophomores will rule the Big Ten for years to come.
