Have you noticed the proliferation of terminals which use a
modular jack for connecting the keyboard to the terminal?
Maybe it has occured to you that this plug is identical to
the one used for modular phone jacks?

Well this occured to me. So I plugged my terminal into a
phone outlet and WOW! Now I can get an accurate transcript
of all my calls on the VDT!

Alternatively, you can plug the keyboard end into the phone
outlet when you feel too lazy to talk. Just punch in your
message to whoever you are calling.

Who needs a modem now? :->

[For anyone with absolutely no hardware comprehension
DO NOT try such a thing lest your delicate electronic
 equipment be fried!]
