Cleveland, Ohio Lines: 19 Mannheim Steamroller occasionally performs "quasi-live." I caught one of their performances in Salt Lake 2-3 years ago. Solos, percussion, etc. are performed live over a recorded background. The performers wear headphones which provide a live feed as well as a click track! At least two of the group members regularly contribute to more commercial efforts. Chip Davis (percussion) wrote the music for "Convoy" and other ilk. Jackson Berkey (keys) often works as a studio musician in addition to his solo piano efforts. (His master class at the U of Utah Music Dept. gave me more insight into music than a four foot stack of Keyboard magazines.) These folks just need to occasionally extend themselves in their own way and Fresh Aire is one such outlet. paul drongowski decvax!cwruecmp!pjd case western reserve university pjd.Case@Rand-Relay
