The VT240 series of terminals has a downloadable character set. I guess
you could send transmit the control sequence to switch to download mode,
download the characters and follow with the message in the new character
set. However, seeing as few sites have many of these wonder-terms, you
would probably end up locking keyboards, resetting modes, and cluttering
up the net. Of course AT&T Long Lines would love that (i.e., see article
about the new AT&T LL clutter-up department... is that REALLY true??)

I understand that the Japanese (and other Eastern area) computer companies
had a devil of a time making up keyboards/character ROMs with all of the
nifty characters that they have 'over there'.
