Message-ID: <178@iwu1d.UUCP> Date: Wed, 22-Feb-84 08:38:21 EST Article-I.D.: iwu1d.178 Posted: Wed Feb 22 08:38:21 1984 Date-Received: Fri, 24-Feb-84 00:26:13 EST Organization: AT&T Bell Labs, Naperville, IL Lines: 18For the first half of my life (~15 years) I lived in Champaign-Urbana Ill. During this time I recall two brands of beer that seemed to be very popular in that area (or so you would think from watching TV commercials). These were Blatz and Stag. I know that Blatz is still being made, but with small breweries going out of bussiness every year, I was wondering if Stag Beer was still around. I'm assumeing, of course, that this was a small regional brewer since that area was the only place I have ever seen it. With the exception of very brief visits, I havn't been back to that area for over ten years. Now that I'm an adult and an experianced beer drinker (even started a can and bottle collection), who likes to root for the little guy, I've often wonderd about Stag. I also still have hopes of experianceing this brew. Can someone out there fill me in? Thanks in advance. -- Is I is, or is I aint, John V. Smith
