We have a PDP-11 to which we wanted to connect up a laser printer. At the time Symbolics seemed like the best choice so we took a shot at converting their software to run on an '11. (They said it was written for a vax, but couldn't say whether it would work on an '11.) Unfortunately, the code is full of assumptions that ints are 32-bits. Being uneconomical to convert, we are now going to look at the QMS which apparently is already running on pdps.
