Another -- "Walk Down Wall Street" by Unknown. I think that last book is "A Random Walk Down Wall Street", by Burton Malkiel. It is an effective presentation of the efficient market hypothesis, which holds (among other things) that technical analysis and chartism is useless in predicting the future direction of stock prices. It is highly recommended, even if you don't buy all of its arguments. Another *excellent* book, which has saved me from making a number of mistakes as well as helping the overall picture, is "The Only Investment Guide You'll Ever Need", by Andrew Tobias. He says that the title is what it is, because all those other investment guides, you don't need. Witty, informative, common sense. -- Bill Jefferys 8-% Astronomy Dept, University of Texas, Austin TX 78712 (USnail) {ihnp4,kpno,ctvax}!ut-sally!utastro!bill (uucp) utastro!bill@ut-ngp (ARPANET)
