I drove part way from Illinois to Baltimore last fall, after not having driven a car for three or four years. My shift was Pennsylvania. I'd never driven on the Pennsylvania Turnpike (or any other mountanous road, for that matter) before. I came up on a long string of trucks going between 45 and 50, so I started passing them. (I was going between 55 and 60.) I ended up moving farther and farther to the left (4-lanes), and when I started to move right, I found myself boxed in by many, many big trucks, who had decided to start moving about 60 or 65, moving out to the left in spite of the signs posted for trucks to remain in the 2 rightmost lanes. I was scared to death, and it didn't help that they just honked at me and closed up gaps whenever I tried to move right. I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO GET TO THE RIGHTMOST LANE, BUT THEY WOULDN'T MAKE ROOM FOR ME TO GET THERE!! I took Ohio/Indiana on the trip back. Wombat ihnp4!uiucdcs!uicsl!wombat
