In 1968, Jim Northrup of the Tigers hit FOUR grand  slams  during
the  regular season, and swatted another in the World Series.  In
one game that season, he hit two slammers in CONSECUTIVE TIMES AT
BAT.   I  believe he is the only one to have performed that feat.
Someone will certainly correct me if I'm wrong :-)
