When I drive I want to be as far from other cars as possible,
both in front and behind, especially when I am concerned about
a particular driver. I have ridden with many different drivers
and have seen that some people get irate if they are not able
to drive at their chosen speed, regardless of how low or high
that is. When I see a car driven by someone I believe to have
that state of mind I want to get as far away as possible,
and usually the best way to do this is to get out of the way
and let him/her pass. I don't feel like I'm 'losing' or that
the other driver is 'taking advantage' of me, but rather I
feel a lot safer.
