The 2/13/84 issue of Infoworld claims that Apple will be coming
out with a 512K version of the Mac "in late 1984". It does not
mention whether 128K Macs can be upgraded, although one would
assume that it would just be a chip swap.

Also:

"Tecmar of Cleveland, Ohio, is working on a removable cartridge
hard disk, to be available by the end of March, and an expansion
chassis to accept additional memory and hardware cards, to be
rolled out in the second quarter."
