We have a small problem with out vadic modems. What we run is
V7m 2.1 on a PDP 11/44. We currently have one hayes smart modem
and one vadic triple modem. I might note the problem is not the
phone lines.

The problem is that every so often, and not at regular intervals
or seq., i.e. completely random. We get one char replaced by another.
The problem is always different, i.e. you can do the same command and
have it work one time and not another. It usually replaces just one char
at a time. At 300 it works just fine. The hayes has no problem at all.
It also doesn't seem to depend on how much comes to the terminal,
although you notice it more on large amounts of data.

I might add that it only has problems on sending to you, it never screws
up when you are typing something.

Ask any questions you want.

Thanks in advance
