In reply to the fellow asking how to get back at obnoxious organizations
who send you junk with post-paid reply envelopes, the best technique I
ever heard was invented by a wine conoisseur who saved all the lead foil
from his wine bottles, and sent that back.  He managed to generate some
amazingly heavy replies.  He regarded it (in the political arena at least)
as a way of making a negative contribution to a campaign.  However, the
more he sent back, the more lists he got on.  They apparently feel that
a response is a response.  He was finally sent a membership card for the
National Committee of the political party whose coffers he'd been raiding...
