I'm not quite sure how to interpret that facial change. Is she moved by Spocks death or annoyed that Kirk called him human? The way I interpreted it, she was moved by what Kirk said. She is also only half Vulcan (the other half Romulan), and she has been trying to learn to suppress her emotions.
