I notice that the Libertarians are (at least they think that's what they
are) once again rising out of their sleep to tickle our funny bones
with their pithy remarks and sage wisdom. I sure wish they (the ones
who post to the net) would try reading some of their own literature.

The libnetters (new word for Libertarians on the net) are all for
dumping all of the laws, rules, etc., that govern society. At least,
that's what I have been able to garner from their articles. They
don't want traffic laws, they don't want drug laws, they don't seem
to want any laws. I wonder how they feel about slavery? Gee, when
the big day comes and the libnetters manage to repeal all of those
silly laws, I'm going out and catch me a libnetter and make him do
all those nasty things I hate to do around my house.

They couldn't have any objections because that's the way the no-law
society should work. Right? One of them said, to me, that he has
every right to do whatever he wants with his body, concerning drugs.
I agree, it's just that when he walks out of his house in the morning,
stoned to the seventh house, and gets into his car to go to work, he
is then stepping on one of my rights. That is not to have anyone
abuse my body with their Honda.

Seriously folks, don't pay any attention to the ravings of the few
libnetters. They obviously have never read their own party platform
or they wouldn't make such stupid remarks. The only thing that has
seemed to stick in their minds is free love and free drugs. Even
those aspects of Libertarian Party have been taken out of context.
No traffic or speed laws indeed. Where does it say that in the
party platform?

That long article about turning the highway system over to private
industry is a real laugher. It hasn't been that long in our history
that we did have private roads for which you paid a toll. If I'm
not mistaken, US 40 was at one time mostley a series of connecting
private highways. It could cost a small fortune to use it. If the
libnetters want to let it all out in their cars, I can provide a
list of racetracks and speed strips for them to get it out of their
systems.

Well, I suppose we will all be treated to some rather lengthy flames
from the libnetters defending their right to do it, whatever IT is.
This should make for some rather entertaining prose for the next
week or so. If there are any REAL Libertarians out there, I invite
you to set the fringe element straight on your platform. These people
are giving honest Libertarians a bad name.

As Au N. said, "Dream On."
