I saw the movie "Footloose" last Friday night and found it to
be rather disappointing [unfortunately]. If you've seen the TV
ads for it, you've seen the movie. The plot is silly, of course,
but that I expected; it just could have been more fun.

I guess my main problem with the movie is that I expected too
much. There were some nice/funny parts to it [especially where
he is teaching his friend to dance] , but I kept expecting
more. It moved along and then suddenly, wham! it was over.
A lot of other people in the audience also seemed underwhelmed
as they left, making remarks like, "Is it over ? Was that it?".
There was definitely not enough dancing and the sound-track was
pretty boring for the most part.

I paid $4.00/person to see it and felt ripped off. I would
recommend the movie however, if you could see it for under
$2.00. The movie wasn't all that bad; it just could have been
a lot better.

Of course, the views expressed above are strictly my own
and reflect my own personal biases. My musical tastes may
not be yours, however, so beware.... you may love the music.
I tend to like to dance to bands like: Bow Wow Wow, B-52's,
Talking Heads, Thompson Twins, Yaz, Devo, and Joe "King" Carrasco,
and I thought most of the music in the movie was kind of boring.
