A few years back I tried out the QPB (Quality Paperback Book club)
and didn't really like it. I found their selection both too limited
and to "popular" for my taste. The best book I bought from them was
Sagan's "The Dragons of Eden." I finally discovered why I wasn't to
thrilled - of those books they carried that I liked, I usually liked
them enough that I'd prefer them in hardcover, whether they be for
reading (like Dragons) or for coffee table (like "Connections").

I tend to read alot, but I must admit that 80% of it is Science Ficton -
that's the books (I get about 20 mags and journals a month. A real
pain when I relocate!) My tastes do run too much towards these clubs,
no matter what they're selling.
