Place of Dead Roads is in the stores (at least in New York) and the word
is that it is a Cities of The Red Night set in the West of the 1800's. Could
be very interesting. I find I need a Burroughs fix every few years to keep
me honest amid growing conservatism. For those in the New York area who don't
already know, there is a documentary entitled "Burroughs - The Movie" that
was shown this summer in the New York Film Festival. It begins a regular run
at the Bleeker St. Cinema in Greenwich Village this Friday, Feb 10. I haven't
seen it so can't vouch, but it is supposed to be exraordinary.
