What kinds of hardware/software aids are there to aid parallel programming?
For example, the DENELCOR HEP uses full/empty bits on every word for process
synchronization. CREATE (a parallel process) is one machine instruction,
(100 nsec.).

What are your favorite hardware and/or software devices ? (The line is getting
fuzzy any more). I will condense any mail to the net, but better still is
open discussion.
