Another true headline was in the New York Herald Tribune in the
early '60s when Sam Rayburn, who had been Speaker of the House of
Representatives, died:

A GRATEFUL NATION BURIES SAM RAYBURN

(Reminds me of a poem by Hilaire Belloc:

	Here richly, with ridiculous display,
The Politician's corpse was laid away.
While all of his aquaintance sneered and slanged
I wept: for I had longed to see him hanged.

Or, as Mark Twain said about Cecil Rhodes:

"I admire him, I frankly confess it; and when his time comes
I shall buy a piece of the rope for a keepsake."
