On advice from various responders, I am reposting to this group. Please accept my apologies if you have already seen it. I also realize that some information of this kind was recently collected in net.video, but it has been removed from our system. --------------------------------------------------------------------- I need advice on programmable VCRs with at least 7 and as much as 14 days programming capability, if available. The VCR should be compatible with TV cable service which will soon be available, by that I mean I should be able to program the recording of cable programs. I will appreciate advice on the best equipment and methods to do that: TV and VCR combined. The Sony SL-2710 Beta Hi-Fi has already been recommended, but I am concerned about the longevity of the Beta format. Please answer by E-mail to: Dick Lincoln - EOSC, Princeton, NJ {decvax!ittvax,allegra,princeton}!eosp1!lincoln Thanks in advance.
