Cleveland, Ohio Lines: 42 There are still more nominations pouring into 'Crucify a Cute Commercial Character Of The Month Club' headquarters. The new candidates up for election are... The Pillsbury Doughboy PacMan Shirttails Biskits The Jack-in-the-Box man. Care Bears --- E.T. --- (if I didn't already mention these last two) Personally I have never heard of the Biskits or seen the (tv?) commercial for a Jack-in-the-Box, so I don't know how cute or commercial either one is. If you want to vote for these you may. Please try to limit your own voting to two or three different characters. If you're writing a letter for all the people in your 9:30 physics class, for example, please indicate that. (e.g. My 9:30 physics class casts 10 votes against the Smurfs, 2 against and 1 for Garfield, 1 against PacMan and 1 against all cats in the media. ) I'm running on the honor system so please don't please don't send the above letter unless you physics class DID vote that way. I would like to appologize to all those Charlie ChapLIN fans. In my last article I put his last name down as Chapman. Sorry. So far the smurfs are way out in front with 24 votes, more than the 10 characters combined. In second are the Cabbage Patch Kids with 4. The Shirttails, the Purina Cat Chow lady, and Monchichis are tied for third, each with 2 votes. So far the most controversial one is Garfield. He has 5 crucify votes, but we subtract half a vote for each of 9 'save' votes and add a third of a vote for the two 'kill all cats' votes (equally divided be- tween Garfield, Morris, and Bill the Cat). This leaves the lasagna-eating cat with a total of 1 1/6 votes. Keep those votes coming! Ryan McGuire (the rm of rrrm)
