There is no qualitative difference between friendship and romance,
    only quantitative.

Really, don't friendship and romance differ only in how MUCH you
give and how MUCH you want (emotionally, physically, etc.)?
    Makes sense to me.

I don't know if I buy this. I feel that I put (and get) as much from my
friendships as I do from my romances. There is a difference between them,
but I don't feel that it can be defined qualitatively OR quantitatively.
It's like a quark. The difference exists, but I can't show it to you (I can
only show you evidence of it).

A good magician should always subscribe to the highest purposes, and
nothing should disuade him from these lofty goals, except, perhaps, that he
has to eat, and it is nice to put a little away for retirement.
