From their literature I have extracted the following information:


	Processors:	68000, 8086, 80186 (now)
			80286 June 1984
			16032 August 1984

	General:

		Real-time.
		Modular configurability.
		Multi-tasking.
		Multiprocessing supported for up to 256 processors.
		Semaphores and locks provided.

		Supports "all forms of memory management, including
			virtual memory".
	File System:

		S1 can read and write files to and from CP/M, MP/M 11,
			MS-DOS, UNIX, XENIX, IBM3741, DEC Files 11, etc.

		Hierarchical directories.  Supports Sequential, Contiguous,
			Random, and Indexed Sequential disk formats.

		64-character file names.

	Communications:

		Networking
		Bit-mapped Graphics
		Screen Editing

	User Interface:

		Menu-driven or command driven, command processor.

		"All configured versions of S1 "look" and "respond" the
		same to all users, regardless of which CPUs or
		configuration is used.


	Languages Supported:

		K&R C, BASIC, Fortran 77, Pascal.
