Systems, Westborough, MA Lines: 12 I had heard that a few years ago, ALLEGANY (sp?) airlines had fairly rotten service and was known as AGONY airlines. They conducted a survey asking what airline had the best and worst service. In addition to the normal airlines (TWA, NW, PAN-AM, etc.), and themselves, the airline included US-AIR (which didn't exist at the time). People listed US-AIR as having better service than ALLEGANY. So the corporation changed it's name to US-AIR, thinking that nobody would come up with another sarcastic name. The airline is now known as USELESS-AIR.
