However, it is quite possible to refuse to deal with such a site -- thusly effectively isolating it from the rest of the network. As it happens, I will shortly be announcing the Global UUCP Sitename Registry, which will perform verification and basic registration of UUCP sitenames. This work will be done by myself in conjunction with other persons who are handling the nitty-gritty of maintaining UUCP map/routing databases. Hopefully this will all help keep the situation under control. It will still be tricky, however, and will have to be watched carefully... --Lauren--
