Some time ago I heard the following two rumors:
	1) Richard Stallman was going to Berkley, and since he doesn't like
		emacs' that you have to pay for, was going to write an
		emacs for the VAX.
	2) He was starting work on GNU (GNU is Not UNIX), an operating system/
		programming environment/editor. The concept of such a (I don't
		know what to call it) is facinating and I would like to find
		out more about it.
So... If anybody out there can give me any information or leads I'd really
appreciate it.
