Two friends of mine have purchased the disk controller board offered
by Micro Design Associates, Columbia, Mo. Neither has been able to
make it work. Efforts to contact the company have been futile; their
telephone has been disconnected.

The disk controller was advertised in a full page ad on page 19 of
the December 1983 issue of Microsystems Magazine. It is a IEEE-696
(S-100) board and is supposed to run 5 1/4 and 8 inch drives
simultaneously. The software provided is said to allow writing
sixteen specified soft sectored formats "and most others".

I'd appreciate hearing from others who may have ordered this
board. Did yours work or not? Have you discovered any fixes?
Etc. etc.
