It has been our experience that many wineries producing champagne distribute
splits (approximately half a fifth (= tenth)).  The problem seems to be that
the purveyors of such commodities to the public don't seem to think that they
can sell such an item.  Some of the more expensive imports can be found in
split sizes, probably because the price for a fifth is too high for most folks.
I have seen Cordon Rouge and Moet et Chandon in splits.  I have also seen
Christian Brothers Brut, Paul Masson, and (Lord forgive them) Le Domaine in
splits.
