Either you have decided to ignore it, or it hasn't made it to your site. If the latter is the case, then I will resubmit the article. If not, then, I am sorry, I cannot rewrite books on the net, I am already spending enough time submitting my own articles. Unfortunately, except for the book I have mentioned in my earlier article, "ainsi soit-elle" by Benoite Groulx, which will not be of any great help for you if you don't know french, I do not have other references, as I have gathered my information from many different books. I believe the authors of these books gathered their legal references from old legal books. I am sure that you would not have too many problems finding evidence confirming my claims if you checked any pre-WW2 legal books on the marriage and family law sections. I do not know how to go about finding these though, maybe someone on the net (Dave Sherman?) might be more informed on this topic. Another place to check would be a feminist bookstore. They certainly would know better than me where to find good references. If anybody has better ideas than me on how to answer this question, please post them to the net.
