I was amused to find that someone found using super glue in
surgery for binding tissue odd.  Perhaps it's not generally
known, but cyanoacrylate, the active ingredient in super glue,
and the glue itself, were developed for the purpose of
gluing skin together after surgery where no sutchers were wanted.
This is usually done on exposed areas where a scar is to be
avoided.
