The floppy drive on the 11/780 is a RX01, so you can only read RX01 formatted (single density) disks on it. (You can write single density disks on a RX02.) Also, the RT11 file structure is what is used on the 780's console floppies, so any programs that you would have to use the console floppy should be set up for RT11 files.
