For the poor easterners who have to deal with their weather:

January of 1984 in California has gone down in the record books as
the driest January, ever. It has been sunny, warm & beautiful out here.
Fool that I was, I spent a week in Aspen, CO where it was (brrr!) cold,
and snowed, and then, to add insult to injury, a week in Washington, D.C.
Perhaps I should have been in California the whole time, improving on my
tan... (but then, I did get a tan in Aspen, above the neck)
