This a reposting from another (much smaller) net, so it may look familiar to
some of you. I recently made these and they got rave reviews. I used cookie
sheets instead of waxed paper, though (doesn't the wax in waxed paper melt?).

		MRS. XXXXX'S CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Cream	1 lb. of softened butter or Imperial Margerine
		2 cups dark brown sugar
		1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

Beat in	2 Tbsp. Vanilla
		3 large eggs
		for 4 minutes

Mix 6 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp salt and 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
		and add to butter mixture

Add 4 cups good chocolate chips (milk, semi, etc.)
2 cups chopped nuts - use hands to mix

Then drop batter on waxed paper with small ice-cream scoop.
Bake on paper at 350 oven for 8-10 minutes, or 250 oven for 18 minutes.
Let cool on paper. (May be light colored and soft)
