It all depends what "version" of C64 you have.  If you
the newest eight pin video connector you will want to
get the 1702, (which is supplied with an 8 pin cable).

If you have an older 64, use the 1701.  If you want to
use the 1702 with an older 64, you will have to purchase
a five pin video cable.
