bolt on turbos are very trendy toys among some of the car clubs (i am
thinking in particular of the Rx-7 club) and can provide some wonderful
performance boosts, but be careful about how much boost because the
engines that these things bolt on to are usually not designed for the higher
temperatures involved. if you buy one, be sure to do so from someone who
has been around for awhile and worked with your car and engine type.
otherwise, you may blow it up sooner than might be appreciated. even
then, wear will be increased quite a bit.
