More anecdotal evidence: my mother tells me that I was a real kicker
in the womb, but then a quiet baby and a reasonably sedate toddler. My
little sister, on the other hand, was very inactive in the womb, but
was a squirmy infant and a rambunctious toddler. (My parents used to
have to attach her blankets to the bed at night with safety pins;
otherwise she would kick them all off every half hour and wake up
cold.)
