I brew my own, and have been getting into the whole thing quite heavily; yet I still love fine wines, too. The big difference is that I can brew better quality beer than I can buy, with rare exceptions , since I can control the quality and quantity of ingredients. Wine--of the type we want to consider here, anyway--is still a relatively low-volume, high-cost product. It takes unique ingredients and a long period of loving care; I've tasted many home wines, and while some were quite good, none met or exceeded the best I could buy. Or even the better ones. However, in direct answer to your question--yes, you've beer lovers out here. And brewers--I don't think I can say braumeister, yet, but I'm working on it. Any questions? Let me know.
