	In case some of you missed it (I think it was in Batman & the Outsiders
#1), Batman quit the JLA when they wouldn't support his private invasion of the
country holding a friend captive.  Superman had promised the governments that no
JLA-er would be invloved in the revolution at all so Batman quit the JLA.  He
said something about the JLA was important to him but he wouldn't let it get
in his way.

Hope this clears it up.
